Loved the lightness, fit and bounce of the NB1s, have 4 pairs, the first two are quite done at 800-900k the rest is following. Have one pair NB3 and even though it feels a little faster it also feels too heavy, except for winter too warm, and I had several different chafing / hot spot & blister problems (which now are under control but still!)and already after 120ks the material of both ankle areas begin to open up / break down. The NB4 don’t seem to be the answer!

Just picked up a pair of Gel Nimbus 3 lite for £75 in the black Friday Sale, i normally run outside in Kayano but thought i will try the Nimbus for the treadmill!

Loved the NB2 and put 600 miles in them. I did not care for the NB3. This is due to: The shoes being long in the toe, felt clunky, smooth outsole, and left heel got a big hole on the inside where my ankle is at (also, didn't like the smooth material around the ankle, hurt the ankle lock down for me). I'll skip the NB4 because I've found over the years, I want a more nimble shoe. I currently have 400 miles in the Noosa Tri 14 and think they are great for 6-10 mile runs!

Just go me a pair. They feel really good on feet. Can't wait to have a run in them!

I tried on the first 2 iterations and took them off immediately. They felt absurdly bottom- and back-heavy and clunky to me. I finally liked v.3 but by the time I was running through my 2nd pair I realized some niggles I’d been struggling with off and on for a while were either caused by or exacerbated by that shoe so I retired it early. To replace it I went to my running store to try on the new NB 1080 and shocked myself by buying the Brooks Ghost Max instead. It feels so much more nimble and smooth to me. Maybe not a “super critical” very exciting midsole but great roll geometry that works for me.

I’ve just bought and I think it’s a massive improvement from the 3

Thanks for another great review. Was curious how the "rocker" felt compared to the superblast. Love my superblast - did most of my long runs in them in my last marathon block. I did find you had to work a bit more to get a turn over given the minimal rocker - maybe the NB 3 was a bit more rockered? Thanks!

I have a bit of a wide foot. Sucks that so many complained about the roomy toe box, probably why they went more narrow

These NovaBlast 4s look way more like the Gel Nimbus 25 than the Novablast 3s. I’m a tall, slightly overweight guy which (I believe) lead to the NB3s bottoming out and feeling kind of flat/slow underfoot during runs but I *love* the Gel Nimbus 25s. Since the Nimbus 26 prototype looks like a complete shift in direction I’m curious how these compare to the Gel Nimbus 25s. Is the similarity just aesthetic?

I have no problem paying the extra for the Superblast.... but they seem unavailable anywhere in my size.... So I guess I'm going Novablast 4 (and I guess a fair few others will do the same with the Superblast being so hard to get hold of, but reviewers saying they're so similar).

I found the NB3 quite slow. It locked me into 6min/k and was a struggle to get faster. I prefer the cushioned guidesole asics stuff for my easy runs as i was able to cruise slightly faster with less effort and heart rate.

That is a GREAT looking shoe! But I have a medium to slightly wide forefoot... so it might not work for me.😢

I get the feeling that this shoe will do one thing really well; and that is selling discounted Superblast and Novablast 3... 😂

Asics has become tops imo. They've come a long way from the $35 shoes/corn causing slabs of rubber I'd buy from Kohl's.

They say, they couldn`t make it better then the Novablast 3 because no one would buy the Superblast then 😁

Had NB3 and didn’t enjoy them too much. The upper was nice and soft in touch but after several miles found holes in the hill counter. Also didn’t enjoy the midsole, it was too firm to me, not sure how better NB4 is but Im not going to risk :)

I'm disappointed that ASICS seems to have abandoned the GlideRide, love the 3s but my pair are nearing the end of their life. Do fancy these though, love the colour!

I was a fan of the NovaBlast until I tried the SUPERBLAST! I loved it immediately! I worried they would change it so I bought a few more pair!That shoe really got my attention and actually changed the way I think about running shoes. Aside from price and cushioning what are the differeences bewteen the NovaBlast and SuperBlast?

Yes, the review I've been waiting for! How's the length? Normally a 11 but I had to go down half a size to 10.5 in the v3 as it was sooo long.

How would you compare them to the new Boston 12? Got a pair of them in a black friday sale, but I'm out of town and haven't tried them on yet and won't hold them in hand for another week. Yoe gave the Boston an overall score of 11.1 ( Value 2.8 ), my value would be 3.0 because of big black friday discount, but value aside how do the upper, midsole and outsole compare

I’ve owned every version of the Novablast. I’m a mid-forefoot striker. The trampoline forefoot outsole area wore out REALLY BAD really fast in v3. If ASICS reduced the outsole rubber in the forefoot, v4 is going to wear out even quicker for a forefoot striker. I’ve given up on Novablast. V1 was the best version.
