That’s the most important advice because you might spend your whole life trying your best and not make it. You shouldn’t judge yourself for failure that is out of your hands. Sometimes it’s just being lucky finding the thing you have a talent for early in life.

Don’t let what he said go over your head. You gotta love what you do and enjoy it too. Make those 6am runs as fun as possible, surround yourself with like minded friends. Reward yourself after by achieving a goal etc. time yourself beat your last time. Doing things that are detrimental to your goal is what your sacrificing going out partying when you know you have to stay sharp and ready and have a lot to improve ain’t what’s gonna get you to the top but most importantly. Put in your 10 thousand hours. So important for the young readers you will not and I repeat will not be good at something by only practicing it last week, takes years of focus and then years more to apply it anyhow you want. What you practise in the dark will shine greater in the light. Hope you understand this.
