@@slickdon1 A promoter has to serve many masters: the fighter, their teams, the network. Does it make sense for Ennis, for Team Benn, for DAZN? Benn's career has completely stagnated. He hasn't had enough development fights, and the possibility of Eubank/Benn has stalled any momentum he had at 147. The potential money that MR can generate with Eubank/Benn will continue to negatively affect a lot of things. At this point, Benn would be a sacrificial lamb to Ennis. I think Benn/Ennis in the U.S. only happens if MR is looking to cash out Benn, and if they can build Ennis into an attraction before then. Benn will do his part in selling the fight, but he doesn't have a big enough profile in America.....so Ennis' marquee value will have to be cultivated before Benn can get paid what he'll want to fight in Ennis' backyard. It's a balancing act.

Benn was fighting in America because his suspension was lifted when he won his case with the NADP. BBBoC appealed this and his suspension was reinstated. Until there is an outcome with the case Eddie won't do a Benn fight because the British board have already threatened to punish everyone involved in the fight who hold a British Boxing license. That's trainers, promoters and even opponents.

I watched another Hearn interview where he said Pacheco vs. Sadjo/Bazinyan fell through. Now I know why: Bazinyan decided to face Munguia next. I can't blame Bazinyan, because Munguia has a bigger stock now that he fought Canelo. That sort of proves Eddie's point that losses do not permanently damage a boxer's stock if they're fighting the best available. Ideally, it should be Berlanga/Munguia and Pacheco/Bazinyan.

Floyd got the same hate when he was coming up in boxing.. boring, running and etc.. shakurs skill is on the same level and is the best technically sound boxer in that division.
