@@Grandizer8989 Prior to that, corn cobs were used. How does that make you feel?? I heard my grandparents say things when I was just a little kid, and while I didn't think much about it at the time, now I wonder if they really did. I always went out to my grandparent's outhouse with grandma on Sunday afternoons and sat next to her as she read something while doing her business. They had put in indoor plumbing at some point before I was born, but she still went to the outhouse. I remember my parents and older sisters had chamber pots in their bedrooms. The house my sisters grew up in had holes in the roof and snow would come into their bedroom in the winter. They were worried about fire among other things. I can remember following my dad into that house when I was probably 3 or 4, but he stopped me after a few steps and told me to never come in there again because it was so unsafe. I don't know if it was demolished or burned, but when I was born, there was a basement built where we would have a new house. It was built in '62. Sorry I got off track on that.

It's bizarre that I don't remember much of Delirious. The film of his that finally put my full attention on how hilarious he is was Raw. Not only was he wickedly funny but... man what guts it took to wear that suit. Purple and Black. It worked and still does. I was too young to see his early films, Trading Places and 48 Hrs in theaters. Why they made Another 48 Hrs.. I have no idea. Same with Beverly Hills Cop 3 and the Golden Child. Not his strongest material.

I read somewhere that Eddie would not appear on Carson unless he guaranteed that Carson would call him over after his stand up set. Supposedly the Tonight SHow reached out to Eddie's agent and only wanted him to do stand up. Eddie was insulted and demanded they call him to the couch. Eddie got his way. This story might be in the SNL book.
