This long speech was the idea of the "guitarist" (the one who made the speech was a friend of the guitarist), so that Joey's family would not have time to honor him properly, as there was going to be a tribute to Joey separately, because the "guitarist" forbade Joey's mother and brother to get close to him, said that if she went on stage the band members would turn their backs ignoring her. Joey's mother was not even able to go to receive the award on her behalf, after the ceremony an assistant "threw" the trophy from the stage to Dona Charlotte. I read this in Joey's biography, written by his brother, this book is worth reading, there are many beautiful details of Joey's life, and also, unfortunately, all the bad things they did to him.💔

How can anyone hate Eddie Vedder? Hes a shy dude he doesnt do public. And he doesnt talk fast, look up interviews. Hes humble as fuck, doesnt like praising himself, and he uses his position to speak against bullshit he had to go through after he ran away and moved out when he was 14. Hes a great dude, if you hate his music, that's one thing, but hes genuinely a good dude

@michaelr.48784 жыл бұрын
Yeah dude..it is really sad. Once the original guys made it to around 50, they all started passing. CJ, Marky and Richie are the only dudes left. I don't really count Elvis as a member....hehe. It was really cool that Veder made several mentions and stressed CJ's contributions to the band. He should have been included in the induction. Frig, he was in the band longer than Tommy. Even Richie was in longer than Tommy. Although, Tommy was an original and did a lot more than just play drums. Marky is my favorite drummer that they had.

@zachheller66819 жыл бұрын
Pearl Jam isn't eligible yet. A band or artist becomes eligible 25 years after their first album was released. That's why it took so long for Nirvana to be inducted. Don't worry, Pearl Jam will be inducted soon enough!

@alexwilliams19848 жыл бұрын
+Edward Van Halen RRHOF is kind of a joke, but why do you think Soundgarden won't get in? Maybe you're aware of something I'm not, but RRHOF has close ties with Rolling Stone Magazine, so it's fairly easy to predict who will get in. Just look at who RSM is friendly with. Nirvana got in first year; Pearl Jam probably will too. I think Soundgarden will get in, but after Pearl Jam. Dave Grohl seems very friendly with Jann Wenner/RSM/RRHOF and I wouldn't be surprised if Foo Fighters get in right away. Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots have less of a chance, which sucks because I love AIC.
