Bivol is also a huge dude & is significantly bigger. We knew that but did not take into account that it would be such a problem for Canelo. I feel like Bivol could have done better.

You should watch all his previous fights, not just the highlights, but full fights entirely. Watch him break down and demolish opponents much bigger than him. Imo, his size for 175 is perfect. Has that impressive agility, stamina, footwork, and great discipline. No fancy jewelry tatts or lavish lifestyle. Dedicated his life entirely on perfecting his craft and mastered the basics with his own style. His attitude is very refreshing. Not prideful not egotistic, just pure truth and honest. No BS. He’s the real deal. Glad he finally gets the recognition he very much deserves. Complete class, a gentleman outside the ring and a beast inside the ring, just pure business. His background on training karate is what ai also believe help him develop a strong foundation. Take note on how he initiates his 1-2’s and his movement and how he pivots to maximize his jabs. His fluidity and overall movement/performance is a thing of beauty.

Yeah that was 100 my concern as well. As you move up in weight your power doesn't really carry the same and you eventually hit a limit. I wondered when Canelo would finally be punching opponents that weren't that bothered, and Bivol was that guy. Canelo just could not really hurt Bivol at all, and that's mainly due to the size difference. Canelo probably had similar power in this weight range to a low-power LHW.

It was amazing how he took those, he has a chin like Golovkin. Of course, the relative natural weights apply here; this must have been a depressing reality check for Canelo, but he should be too down, he gave it a go where many wouldn't dare.
