_Fun Fact:_ In the animatic for The End, in the scene where Tom walks away from the house enraged in part one, he has steam coming out of his eyes - quite demonic looking, to be honest. That would only add up to this theory being fairly possible.

That may also be why he was able to grab a harpoon gun. Turn it around in less than three seconds, and shoot it out someone after just being blown up, and then a bunch of house, rubble falling on him.

It's kinda make sense. Eddsworld's characters are based on Edd's friends, real-life people, with their own, unique traces. In real life, Tomska has to deal with his anger problem, so maybe that's why he wanted to create the same trace for his character in EW. I always think it's a great idea, and Edd would definitely love that. Thank you Tomska for continuing and finishing the Eddsworld's legacy. Thank you. And Rest in peace, Edd, you beautiful human.

More proof that Tom is a monster: When Tom gets punched and says “ lame” after that he says “oh no” and you can hear his jacket ripping and him yelling. And at the end of the episode he comes back with his hair cut.

I think it might be that the monster had seen him land and actually revealed himself to him because he looked up at something maybe the monsters mist was hiding in a trash can or something and just flew out of it and possessed tom because maybe his clothes ripped because the monster couldn't fit his clothes so they ripped

I think Tord knew that Tom was possessed/is the demon because he tried to piss him off all throughout part one. He didn’t just want the robot but the fact that he could use the robot as a tool to try and maybe tame Tom’s demonic form for his own good since I believe Tom and the demon cannot separate for Tom is the Demon’s vessel. Tord probably knew Tom’s demonic powers could help him achieve world domination for the robot isn’t as destructive as a demon and would need repairs, supply, and money to upgrade it. A demon however, especially a rage demon is more affordable and destructive.

Actually, I have to debunk this theory and here is why. During "Power-Edd" after he landed, he didn't look mad, just kind of overwhelmed. Also, we clearly see whatever the demon is leaving Tom after its defeat. During "The End" Tom was getting way madder than in "Power-Edd" which, if this theory was true, would have brought out the demon inside him and attempt attack Tord. But like I said, we say that demon leave him. Now onto the "Trick or Threat" song. I can't explain this one because it happens after "Power-Edd" but It's safe to say this didn't actually happen and therefore isn't canon. So now I'd like to cover the comments. I'm seeing a lot of people mention him picking up the couch but this *is* similar to a cartoon considering radiation would normally kill someone but cartoons let the characters live even when exposed to radiation, even giving them superpowers. So that's it for me, I could be wrong, but I do want to stick up for my own opinion that the demon is gone. (Sorry for any bad grammar, I type fast and don't pay attention)

hey im here three months after youve commented this to point out a few issues in your explanation in tomskas initial explanation on tumblr he mentioned that tom becomes a demon when he is either too angry or stressed, and as you pointed out he looked overwhelmed, which could be the cause of him becoming said demon. another thing which others have pointed out is in the animatic for the end during the scene where tom is walking away from the house, he has smoke coming from his eyes, of course this was cut for unknown reasons but considering it was an idea, and most likely scripted at first, just contributes more towards tom being a demon. with the couch scene where he throws it through the wall, you argue its just a play on cartoon logic but theres never really been prior use of it in former episodes unless it is used to move the story along or the main plot, so it would be a bit strange to introduce it on what was intended to be one of the last episodes. about you claiming trick or threat to not be canon, i do agree with that as it seems strange for it to actually be canon but there wouldve been no real reason to add in the end part of the song, it easily couldve ended many other ways. a few final notes about this as well, if tom wasnt the demon in power edd, where would it have come from? theres no signs of it prior besides the camera panning away, and even after the camera panned back tom was nowhere to be seen after the demon showed up. theres a few other things id add but im too lazy, of course youre allowed to believe what you want but i felt it might be fun to debate a bit thanks for coming to my TedTalk 🐟

I'm so happy. I just love my edgy demon boi so much..... Also: I think it's interesting that Tom *didnt* go into rage mode in The End. Maybe it's because when Tord was piking on him it made him more sad then angry. Like imagine if you friend came back after years and started hanging out with your other mates but just called you stupid and put piranha's in your scuba helmet. I'd be mad, but also kinda feel sad 😢 Edit: (I know they weren't on good terms when Tord left because of a fight or something. But Tord was getting along fine with the others. Tom even kinda seemed like he wanted to make up but Tord had different ideas 👀)

Pretty much it's because his mother is a bowling ball, and every person is detailed by their dad and mom (if the person isn't adopted), but Tom is adopted in this case. In 25ft under the seat, when it's flashback time, it shows the dad as a pinneapple (does not reveal) and Tom was born with black eyes already.

I honestly thought that this applied only to anger, which didn't make much sense to me, but in TomSka's Tumblr post it's also written that STRESSED. I think that it's a lot more logical reason for Tom to lose control in PowerEdd because I'd be pretty stressed too if I was punched in the sky and then fell down at an alarmingly high speed. Also, he didn't seem very angry...just "ow."

In Zanta Claws 3, when Zanta,Santa,Matt and Edd try to stop him in a robot, he sings a song. The 1st lyrics literally say he feels possessed. A few lyrics later, he says “press charges on my alter ego” which could be referring to the demon.

I think tore was making something and Tom either accidentally drank it or tord made Tom drink it without Tom knowing and he transformed in powered because the radiation from the barrels caused it to be active for a bit plus Tom seems to be able to survive the unsurvivale like falling from thousands of feet getting literally blown up and leaving with only a smallish scar or how he can chuck the sofa so hard that it can go though concrete walls and in the fan Comix the beginning and the friEND Tom actually cares about Matt and because of pMatt getting hurt so bad to a ounce of his life Tom got REALLY angry and transformed

Another thing to mention is in The End animatic for part 1, the scene where Tom leaves originally was going to have purple flames (or something I don’t know) coming out of his eyes. This could mean that (if this idea were to be used in the Final Version), Tord would’ve made Tom angry enough so that he would turn into a monster than use him in order for world domination. And since The End had Edd doing really nothing, this would’ve made for a great scene with Edd doing the same thing that Tom did in Part 2, and both saving his friend and defeating Tord. (Just wanted to point that out).
