It's 2022 and I'm still listening to this masterpiece

Wearing headphones while listening to this, at 4 AM in a quiet & dark room. After everything I've been through and feeling lately, I feel so emotional; it's both good and bad, yet neither at the same time

The “cause you see only what you want to and tunnel vision haunts you” “sleep walking just keep talking” is honestly my favorite part. It means a lot to me in ways I can’t explain😔

I think the saddest part is "things will be better in America, heard the streets are gold there" because it provides us with the fact that the protagonist is living in fantasy, and thinks that moving will change everything. The media is packed with negativity about America, but also glorification, and he hopes that the glorified depiction of America will let him escape with who he loves, and start a better life, but we know that has a low probability of happening as no matter who or where you are, escapism is only a temporary opium of the masses.

My best friend showed me the eden project when I was in 7th grade and he was my favorite thing. I associated these songs with her but we had a huge fight and I haven’t seen her in years. I’m crying so much right now. The lyrics “say you’re not going to leave me” are hurting me more than I could’ve ever imagined

There’s so much beauty in the world, and love is one of the most beautiful, but it’s such a powerful thing and sometimes that’s its biggest downfall because love can shatter a person in ways nothing else can, it takes time to put thous pieces back together there’s no quick fix. i know that this song is supposed to be about break ups, but this reminds me of my mother. ive always hated everything and everyone around me except her, always dreamed of moving away from my poor country to the promised land of america. this song is basically my mom's message to me, her cry for me to stay. her saying that im better than whatever everyone thought of me. her saying that she doesnt get what i say despite it making perfect sense to others cause i used to always talk to friends online in english, shit like that. i hope i get back someday and make it up...

Man... This brought back a lot of feelings of a love that I lost and screwed up. Grew up a lot but it brings feelings of regret that I missed the chance to keep loving someone who was absolutely amazing and a once in a life time partner. Hindsight is 20/20 and even 8 years of time and learning and changing a lot, the right smell, song, or words will always bring back a feeling of longing and blissful meloncholy for what I lost.
