Sir I've pursued my MSc in Mathematics from IIT and now I wanna pursue PhD in Math. at USA. In Mathematics, i'm interested in Analysis ( like Real analysis, Complex Analysis) But sir I am not able to get the name of the professors or Universities related to field of Analysis. Is there is any way of doing it? Please tell me sir.

This was really informative 🙏🙏. I emailed the program coordinator of the master’s program I want to apply for, I was told it has fully funded financial support, monthly stipend and health insurance. Do I still need to contact professors before applying to the program? I have searched the faculty website and could not find professors in the course I want to apply for (a thesis program), the only professors I found are the ones in the non-thesis program

It’s possible but not easy. You will have to compete with students who have masters degree. Competition for PhD is fierce.

YES, there is. You can do PhD after MBBS in India, or any other country. Process bit cumbersome, but yes, there is a way out. Since not so many students are interested in this path, that’s why I won’t be able to make video on this topic. I have received an admission letter into a PhD program but it’s not funded, do you have clue on how I can apply for scholarship from external bodies the GA positions in the school are no longer available all other financial aid and scholarships are not available as well Whats do I do.

Research proposal is not required for USA, but at other places outside US, it’s is common, especially in UK. Journal Paper: is not required, however if you have one, it’s an added advantage.

The full tuition remission is given by universities for one year only and then it gets renewed every year based on the performance right?? Or there is another procedure?

It depends upon the type of financial aid. In some cases, you need to maintain certain GPA each year.

Thanks for such a lovely comment. I am just like an average English speaker, not a very good one. Since I studied in government school, in Punjabi medium, in a very small village, I was naturally week in English. So I had to put quite some efforts learning it. I think most important thing is you need a speaking partner to practice. Just practice, practice and practice. Also watch English movies and read some English novels. That’s what I did. Hope this is helpful. Good luck. By the way, are you planing to study in usa ??

I have completed masters in 2014 and joined a research lab in2015 and able to continue it for 6 months. After that my parents met an accident and my mom was paralyzed.Despite those personal challenges i joined an internship from 2021 to 2022 and after that i am working for publication in 2 projects. So there is a significant gap between 2016 and 2021. But till 2017 when i have applied for multiple phd positions which gets rejected. So my question is despite this gap year am I able to get a fully funded phd position in USA if i have relevant research experience? I am from India.

Your case is critical. You need to build your profile again. I would suggest to enroll in the course that Udai sir has created to MS and PhD aspirants. Course is not available yet, but it will be in Aug 2024.
