Yesterday GenG DWG and today EDG DRX... crazy series

One of the greatest series at Worlds ever. Deft beating his old team in a reverse sweep. Close 5 games and a great storyline to match.

No matter which region you are a fan of, you can't deny this is the best and most competitive worlds.

This mental strength of DRX is actually crazy,to get back and reverse sweep the series after that game 2 unlucky ending is just unreal.

1 year later and watching these highlhights... this was undoubtedly one of the best Worlds series ever. 5 games of intense back and forth bangers with so many big plays from both teams, ultimatley ending with Zeka popping the hell off with Sylas in a signature game solokilling Scout 4 times and dominating that last team fight. What an incredible series.

DRX totally deserved this win they even almost got robbed in game 2, glad they were able to pull it off in the end.

Zeka was saving the energy for game 5, right?! Holy Sylas! The best player in DRX's play-in and now the decisive one. So sad that DRX and EDG would not have a chance against GenG playing at 100%, but Zeka won the series and my admiration.

After 2 stomps we get 2 bangers. Balanced as all things should be.

Reposting this from someone else’s post: It’s crazy how many LPL teams are centered around Korean players (i.e. Scout, Viper, The Shy, Kanavi, etc.). That displays how amazing LCK players are in general. LCK teams can’t compete with the salary these players are making at LPL, so a lot of players decide to accept the offers to go international. But if you take away these players from LPL, the majority of strength behind the region would collapse.

Deft not being able to close out the nexus in G2 was soul-wrenching. Thank god they went on to win the series because if that's the reason they lose 3-0 it would've been horrible

To be fair DRX deserves to go 1/2, but on the other hand it is sad for Viper, such a player he is, he is the one who makes his team ground solid in teamfights and Scout who is mechanically gifted, making all these opportunities for rest of the team to follow up. Great series Zeka, Deft amazing performance here, good luck facing Gen.G!

It feels good to watch any LPL team lose. Especially when it's to LCK. EDG was practically handed this series and they squatted around DRX's mid inhib for 2 whole minutes begging to lose. EDG has amazing hands but fucking brains go numb when it matters.

Long life story about these games: In my pick ems I picked RNG to win play in group B and DRX won. In the groups I picked TOP Esports to win and DRX won. This time I picked DRX since they have looked good and EDG got stomped in groups by T1 twice but after the 2nd game I thought it was over so I went to sleep but let my old phone on to get the drops. But my old phones battery died after game 4 even though it was charging so I thought it was 4 games total going 3-1 so I quickly fast forward the game and to my surprise DRX won both game 3 and 4. Fine I will watch the full game 5 when I get home after work so I picked some snacks and got ready, I also opened Thebaus stream since I wanted to collect points but it was on mute, while watching the game 5, my eyes catched the stream from Baus and he was watching the post game interview with DRX and they were in tears so I was like "great I got spoiled" so watching the game when they were like 12-4 I was like how the hell did they threw this? But they won.

First reverse sweep of the season. Zeka stepped up after that game 2 failed plan. Beryl got the revenge from last finals for DWK.

eventho EDG lost, Viper showed deft why they could do well at worlds and win championship with him, but couldn't do the same with deft, those were statement games from viper, to be so good as an adc to make the games close even when your midlaner and toplaner and jungler are losing hard was a statement.

Best worlds weekend in history?

Will be interesting to see how the two sides of the bracket will match up against each other with this side being extremely competitive and JDG and SKT stomping their opponents so far
