I agree with you . He sounds good but he hasn’t had the opponents to develop his IQ especially in his first 16 fights . He really needs to fight someone like Daniel Jacobs before fighting Canelo imo but it’s likely going to be Canelo vs Berlanga in September. 🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊

@@warrior84ish I don't know. I think Team Canelo is looking for a PPV Home Run in September, and I just don't think Edgar is a big enough name to do that. My guess is Canelo will fight David Benavidez next--especially because it will mean a quicker turn around for David and a bigger cut in weight. Both of these may weaken him.

I think Berlanga would take an L against Canelo, Muguia, Morrell, Benavidez, and Plant. His brute strength won't be enough against these guys. They all have superior hand speed and Berlanga would find it very difficult to be effective against them

There are only a handful possibly of names that can be considered "Step Ups' everyone else in the division is your average or below average opponent. That being the case only options are to get in against the few considered top guys in the division . Every otha opponent ain't gonna gain him any respect or raise his stock. All fighting the avg or below will do for him or any otha boxer for that matter is gain them more criticism. Only one way to find out if you ready to Class it up and that's to Step it up!
