I tuned in to watch Berlanga and see the improvements he made, but as a fan boxing, I was more confused than anything. For one, he is an extremely dirty fighter and it’s hard for me to get behind that kind of style. That elbow he threw last night was “disqualification” worthy. I also feel he was allowed to be patient and take chances with his opponent because honestly, the guy didn’t put up much of a test. Berlanga does not deserve a Canelo fight… it anything, they should feed him to David Morell next!

As a Canelo fan, I'll be very, very disappointed and disgusted if Canelo were to pick Berlanga... that would actually make me dislike Canelo, that would make me not be a fan anymore... Berlanga is horrible... I'm sorry, but it is what it is.. he's a hype job.. credit to him, he was k/o level D fighters in the first round, like he was supposed to do, but as soon as they rised it to level C fighters, he struggled, and struggled bad.. this fight vs. McCrory was a gift from Eddie Hern, a showcase fight, so he can k/o him out and bring back up his value... that's all this was because his value was shot......so, hopefully now, they can finally take off his training wheels and actually give him a fight with a level B fighter with a name.. not guys, no one ever heard off... and stop calling out Canelo... you are miles and miles away from a Canelo fight...

There's no way in hell Eddie Hern is going to pay Canelo 35 million just to knock out Berlanga in 2 rounds. Edgar Berlanga has even fought a level B fighter yet, and he wants a canelo fight... the first thing he needs to do is take off the training wheels... How is Berlanga the mandatory 😂 WHEN MORELL JR IS THE WBA REGULAR CHAMPION? Morell is the mandatory. The WBA ARE CONSOLIDATING THE BELTS. The super champion will be forced to face the regular champion. Berlanga is not the mandatory technically

Why is canelo and Edgar even a topic, who has this guy fought. I'm getting tired of seeing these new fighters who want to win 1 or 2 decent fights and claim they need to fight canelo next. I like Edgar Berlanga alot but unless I see a more controlled dominant performance I don't see that Berlanga is ready to step in the ring against Canelo/Mungia/Benavidez. I don't see a jab, when You attack him he goes straight back so many basic skills that he should know by know but I don't see? Love this kid, But maybe he needs to look at a change in his team? Stop trying to please the press/Fans and calling out Canelo, just improve on the basics, everything else will come.
