Been on again off again for over 4 decades and still have resistance to doing the lessons even though I agree with most of it, I have never been good at taking direction imposed upon me even though for my own good.

Hi Herein: Your explanation is consistent with what I know of ACIM. I tend to prefer the concept that free will is exactly that. That is that we are each responsible for our own choices and that we can chose to help others still entrapped here or move on to other realms, as we choose, once we have learned what we can of love, patience and faith from this experience.

Hi trychanting: You are correct that Tolle does speak (and speaks well) of ACIM. What was intended in the video, and was not voiced, was that it doesn't come up in A New World. The similar concepts would have fit well with Tolle's perspective, but I was disappointed especially since that particular book seemed to focus on starting over with a clean slate on everything. Tolle used to teach ACIM in his courses, though he is not a fan of the traditional Christian verbiage and use of male pronouns.

Hi Carolsw1: My comment there was because the Bible was written from the flawed perspective of its human authors rather than taking Divine verbatim dictation from God. That would put the Bible in league with other Holy books like the Koran, Talmud and others. Since ACIM does not recommend following any teachings that are part of the illusion we humans see on earth, I'm not sure how the Bible is separated out from that premise. I appreciate any ACIM experts helping me (and others) to see the difference with this concept and in whatever other areas I misunderstood.

I actually love taking on a subject (like ACIM) that I don't know a great deal about (until I studied it in depth for a month or two) and compare it to a subject (the Cayce readings) that I've studied most of my life. When we find the points of agreement between two popular teachings, I believe the angels sing.

His teachings are very similar to Ra material, bashar, Dolores cannon and a few others which clearly demonstrates he was in touch with that part of us which is eternal, extremely wise, patient, loving and believes in each and every one of us no matter how far we move away from the light, there’s no other place to go but eventually home! We’ve all done things when caught we with we hadn’t.. and no just cookies either! Maybe this Keeps us in the ‘ I’m not worthy ‘ bracket so I may as well behave like a beast towards everyone and everything, there are many avenues back to God without the need to sit in church and worship a made up God that judges who’s worthy, My god gives more love to Hitler because it understands everything is a lesson in love, love is patient, love is strong .. Love is all the things creation is We are never alone, every second there’s someone watching over you including our darkest hours! Hi Dr. Rohit Gour: There are many I meet through the study of the Edgar Cayce readings who simultaneously study ACIM. When I ask them if they have a preference of one over the other, they smile and say "no." "When I need to remember the illusory nature of my problems, I rely on ACIM for that. When I need practical advice to interact with others in a loving manner, the Cayce readings help best with that." I have always been impressed when folks, like you, see how to change their lives from any of the ways that God reaches out to us. Blessings!

Hi TM: Another person posting here described just how different the two approaches (ACIM and the ECRs) are from each other. I found that a real challenge in preparing this video. The Cayce readings describe karma as "balance" as in every action has an equal reaction. Most karma is good, as in we enjoy reaping what we have sown when our choices are in accord with God's loving ways. There is no guilt we should associate with what's called "bad karma" by some. Why? Because reaping what we have sown in such cases is instructive and shines a light on where we went astray rather than suffering some punitive action levied on us by God.

My point was that when bad things happen to us, it is intended to help us learn rather than punish us for our past sins. Jumping off a building is instructive on a soul level, but we probably would have to carry that lesson over to a future lifetime on earth if we don't already understand that consciously.

Hi ooohlaa13: It would help to have a time stamp where the video said Eckhart Tolle never studied ACIM. We don't remember that being in the video. There is another "Edgar Cayce on..." video we feature that is specifically about Eckhart Tolle as compared to the Edgar Cayce readings.

didn't say never you say he rarely mentions it and I am saying he has been referring to it and mentioning it for years. Several other commenters also called your attention to this if you scroll up and read previous comments. The only reason I point it out is because ACIM is so radical that its hard to find other channels that jive with it and I think yours pretty much does jive but if people see that you don't know Eckhart's frequent referrals to ACIM it makes you seem out of the loop. Many people were brought to the Course over the years through Eckhart, I don't want to go back thru your video to find the exact place, maybe look thru your transcript. That's why this is called the Edgar Cayce AZ channel. (smiles) The reason the person who responded to you earlier asked for a video time stamp is that it seems unlikely I would have mentioned ET's position on ACIM ever. As you indicated, I am definitely out of the Tolle loop (I've read two of his books), and I have had many Cayce group members discussing their understanding of ACIM as well as my own reading of Helen's book. However, I've never been a member of ACIM or participated in their group meetings. I apologize if these videos gave the impression that I was an expert in Edgar Cayce, ACIM, and Tolle.

KZfaq started encouraging us to do that once we passed 10,000 subscribers. However, we feel that doing so would put the focus on earning money rather than offering the information available in the Cayce readings...especially in finding the points of agreement with other great sources of spiritual information. Not monetizing our videos also minimizes the commercials KZfaq inserts into our video presentations. Thanks for noticing!

Hi Edward: I can appreciate your comment and understand the two world views start from such different perspectives that it is difficult to compare and contrast them. With that said, I also listen to our viewers and offer programming that answers their stated needs for information. The book ACIM is probably as many pages as the Bible and requires someone who has truly studied it to ferret out the practical meanings and applications. Many say the same of the Cayce readings. I imagine if someone who knew ACIM well (as I know the Cayce readings well) gave the same talk, there would be differences, and yet a lot of agreement in what was presented. Actually, I would love to see the same video done exactly like that...from ACIM pundit's perspective. That would be ideal!

I was a bit put off by the sheer volume of the ACIM book(s) that probably far exceeds the number of words in the Bible. It was worth it for me to persevere and see what everyone was raving about. There are so many "points of agreement" between the Cayce readings and ACIM!

Hi Eileen: I'm not sure I followed your statement. One Cayce quote says: "Magnify the virtues and minimize the faults." I would interpret that to mean that we can openly recognize the God in each other and shout it from the rooftops in praise of our Creator and as an example of what we can all do when we cooperate together. The "minimize the faults" part is echoed in another Cayce quote that recommended we "act as if it were not" when truly forgiving ourselves and others so that all concerned could "Go forth and sin no more." Do you find these statements in conflict with what you believe, or am I just misunderstanding you?

I must have done the work of ACIM justice since I don't remember any negative comments from pundits of the channeled book on this presentation.

Hi sihamknajm: You are correct, of course, but the true source of the information in the Cayce readings and in ACIM is from God. While we can all appreciate the talents and efforts of the message bearers, we try to keep the focus on the information over the people. Edgar Cayce's wife, Gertrude, was the conductor of most of the readings, and it was Gladys Davis Turner who took down every word in shorthand and later transcribed her own notes and indexing over 14,000 readings. Without those two ladies, I doubt the Cayce readings would be available today. Thanks for the platform/reason to honor their contribution!

Hi Po: I didn't want to discuss the legal versus disputed versions of ACIM, especially when I am far from an expert on how the legal conflict played out. Still, in the KZfaq comments section, it has now been disclosed! (smiles)

​@@edgarcaycearizona67 There is no legal version since the copyright lawsuit was settled in 2003 with the judge declaring that the original copyright for ACIM was null and void because of too much prior distribution. Cayce isn't necessarily portrayed in a positive light in the original shorthand notes, from which the urtext version was transcribed. A quick google search will lead you to the scanned notes and the urtext. They're worth a read if you haven't already read them :)

I reckon its important to remember that only one version was authorised by Helen before she passed and that was the Dark blue covered no gold emblem edition. The current accepted version with the emblem is identical(as far as I'm aware) for the 3 part Course but has the additional supplements section. Although beautiful in most ways this material was never intended for publication as part of The Course and for good reason. Many ideas in this fundamentally oppose key principles in the Course although some are consistent. This leads to what the Course refers to as disassociation where two diametrically opposed thought systems are accepted. Imagine the distress a maths student would have if page 2 said 1+1=2 then page 5 said 1+1=3. So yeah see what your saying but dismissing differences as unimportant is missing a fundamental truth of Christ's Teaching that of no compromise and perfect consistency. Teaching has its place while we perceive that we exist in time and space so therefore there is such a thing as right teaching and right learning. Spiritual vision sees the body not yet sees the Spirit as real with perfect clarity. Just a thought Peace Surf Australia

Hi Robert: I'll try to do justice to your request. I understand the value of having a synopsis that anyone can wrap their arms around...however limiting that description might be. The Bible is the best historical document we have that tells of our growing understanding of God's unconditional love for us all. The Old Testament starts out pretty rough, but shows a brighter side to our relationship with God by the time it reaches the book of Psalms. Then the New Testament helps to clarify God's love for us even more. Clearly, the Bible should be a dynamic book to which we would constantly add the best practices humanity has for describing how we can make God's loving ways our own. I would include Cayce's readings and ACIM among the better and more recent additions to the Good Book. If I had to summarize my own feelings of ACIM, I do so reminding all that Cayce died some 30+ years before ACIM was publish and distributed to the public. So this is truly my own "take" on what I've learned of it through my studies. ACIM is the only worldview I've found, besides the Cayce readings, that says we never stop being one with God. Any separation between we souls and God is an illusion of our own making. Most any other spiritual teaching tries to convince us that if we live a good life that we can ultimately escape this place and move on to what most would call "heaven" which is found somewhere else than here on earth. Both Cayce and ACIM indicate that once we realize our true nature and live up to our incredible potential, we are indeed in heaven wherever we go in Creation. Jesus was in heaven even when living in a human body here on earth. Once we understand our true nature, and live according to what we believe, we too are free to go or stay on earth. It won't matter because we are in heaven regardless of where we decide to go.

At the risk of appearing like a "groupy" your lectures on you tube are very inspiring, for me your work is among my favorite right up there with Wayne Dyer ; Marianne Williams; ACIM and other spiritual teachers. In the ARE (Edgar Cayce's organization that carries his work forward) they say that "Happiness is finding a Cayce reading that says what I already believe." (lol) I believe we all have favorite speakers just for that reason...certain speakers frame spiritual concepts in ways that resonate with our own values and beliefs. For those who object to my use of metaphors and analogies to illustrate how I relate Cayce's spiritual teachings to my own life, I will not hold much appeal as a speaker. Hi Eric: You're probably talking about the book by Judith Sherbenou entitled "Edgar Cayce and A Course in Miracles?" Since the first ACIM book wasn't published until 30+ years after Cayce's death, his readings never directly said anything about Helen Schucman's transcribed work. My own studies of ACIM and the Cayce readings came to many of the same conclusions as Ms. Sherbenou's book, though my own style of comparison is perhaps more direct than hers. Anyway, I think you'l enjoy both Judith's book and this video. In just the first 12 hours after its online publication, it has already broken our viewer records compared to our other Cayce videos to date!

@@erichepperle7085 Actually, that version was not edited by Hugh Lynn Cayce; it was edited by Bill Thetford. A copy, still in manuscript form, was given to Hugh Lynn, and that copy was later discovered in the Cayce library by some Course students, who then published it. The version of the Course published by the Foundation for Inner Peace (FIP) was published and widely distributed before the HLC version was discovered. The FIP version is an edit of the HLC version (It was edited by Ken Wapnick with Helen Schucman's approval). Many people feel the edits to the FIP version were not improvements and in a few cases may have obscured the intended meaning. The author of the Course (Jesus) told Helen that Bill should be in charge of the editing, but Bill did not participate beyond the editing of the HLC version--a fact cited by some as evidence that the further editing of the course was not an improvement. It sounds complicated, but the main thing to realize is that the FIP version, which the speaker in this video calls the "official" version, is not the only version and possibly not the best.

Hi Jiminy: 422-1 was a woman by the name of Winifred S. Nixon. Cayce's advice to her, if taken out of context, does sound a bit different from the more general of advice that was offered. Here's the background on 422-1, Ms. Nixon: "She sought help through a reading to relieve her of difficulties she was having from hearing voices that mocked and frightened her. Apparently she heard these voices as whisperings close to her ear. They came after a period of developing automatic writing. At first they were helpful, giving answers to her questions and guidance regarding her daily problems. This changed gradually and the voices began to criticize her thoughts and actions. Incorrect information was given and finally frightening lies were whispered to her constantly, such as, "There is a snake in your room. It is under the bed and when you go to sleep it is going to crawl over you. Your husband is seeing another woman. Your bread is burning. Someone is peeping through the window at you." A trip to a doctor's office would be the first move toward an institution, so she turns to Edgar Cayce as her only hope." It seems that 422-1 had created her own problem through practicing automatic writing. That meant that what Cayce offered was very specific to her in her unique situation...not general advice to people who have not already opened their minds to malevolent influences.

Hi Suna: My question, to answer your objection, would be, "Would the physical world ("ice" in the metaphor) exist at all if we had not made unloving choices?" As I understand it, the physical world, while it may have many aspects of love infused throughout, would not have come into existence except as an illusion of our egos. In other words, God's love can be found everywhere, if we will look for it. But it seems that looking for love in these three dimensions, instead of looking toward where our true home is, works more as a distraction than a help. Again, I am not as well-versed in ACIM as I am in the Edgar Cayce readings, but if (after the above explanation) we still disagree, then we will have to agree to disagree on our personal interpretations of the ACIM material...and I'm okay with that!

From my understanding of acim we are taught to recognise anything that changes(ice cube,body,time,space,negative unloving emotions) as unreal! This leads to the realisation or acceptance of what is true(loving emotions, eternity,spirit, mind God,joy,peace) as true. Therefore truth is changeless forever. This contradicts every thought of this world. But we are not of this world. Our true home is within the heart of God. An example would be the changeless love of a Mother for her children. Hi Chris: I understands your sentiment. I follow why ACIM says that everything that is happening to us is a dream, but that view sometimes makes many people crazy. Thinking what happens to us on a daily basis doesn't matter because it's not real in the first place doesn't work for all. For some, the "earthly life is a dream" concept is helpful, so to each their own...as always!

It agitated him. in the end i released, its just were he needs to be. Not emotionally ready to be that far spiritually. when I close my eyes and look at him, i see a small child sitting in a closed box, coloring the walls with a crayon

Hi surf: I never did hear which side prevailed regarding the 40-year old lawsuit of which version of ACIM prevailed. The cover in which you mentioned has been the bigger seller since then, so in one sense, it is the implied winner. The reason I remember the situation is that some employees of the ARE received subpoenas to testify at the trial. Copies of the yet unpublished version had been given to them for review back in the late 1970s. Their testimony was meant to established a preceding date over the competing version.

I didn't follow the lawsuit myself but feel an overdue discussion by Course students and others on the consistency of the supplements additional material to the main 3 part book is warranted. The supplements section feels different and is not consistent in my opinion. Its not so much about a "winner" but weather the material is completely sound. I'd be interested in your view on the example I gave with the different interpretations of psychotherapy. As the course says" contrast and differences are necessary teaching aids for by them we learn what to avoid and what to seek "(I may not have written that exactly correct but is paraphrased to the best of my memory) Regards Surf

​@@surf1707 Hi Again: I can answer best from the Cayce readings perspective regarding psychotherapy. Cayce's readings often recommend small group work in discussing how to apply spiritual concepts into our daily lives. However, I can't remember a single time that Cayce advised someone to begin psychotherapy if they were not already under a therapist's care. His advice allowed that therapy could continue, but the implication was that the value of the good received was because of the patient's belief in the sessions rather than therapy generally being the best path to healing. Cayce most often recommended meditation and a sincere desire to seek help from the Divine within instead of looking to others for their answers.

I remember reading Edgar Cayce's works years ago on my journey through spiritual understanding and always guiding me was the Holy Spirit through The Course. I now accept the perfect consistency of the Courses teaching and compare all other teachings to this perfection. This is why Helen, William and Kenneth spent such time and care on its editing. And as The Course says one falsehood makes the entire teaching meaningless(paraphased). This is quite a statement and would usually be applied to to a field of discipline such as mathematics not spiritual understanding so much. But this is The Word of God nethertheless, and on that Christ states that no compromise is possible. This is why students of the Course(as well as all others interested) would be well served to remember that there was only one version authorised by Helen before she passed and that was for good reason. Although much of the supplements section (which is highly enlightened for the most part as is Kenneth Wapnicks Absence from Felicity) is beautiful it was never to be included in the final version which it has been now. This is a real problem and one in which I imagine the deciples of Christ would of lamented over if they saw the progressive edits of the bible canon. Christ addresses certain Scripture and says words like "I could never have said that" and then procedes to retranslate the mistranslated material(e.g.I bring not peace but a sword)In a way this is modern deciiples task to retranslate the mistranslated form of Christ's teachings without altering the fundamental message of truth. Hi aaron: It feels like we're making the same point about ACIM. Since ACIM would say that the love we feel here exists with or without the 3-D universe, doesn't that logically tell us that only love is real and the rest of what we experience on earth is only a dream?

Absolutely! Loved this video, it just seemed as though it was being made out that ACIM believes this entire experience on earth isn’t real. It’s quite fascinating at how similar both of these teachings are. They are both very valuable tools!

It is not easy to take a body of work like ACIM and try to condense and compare it to another (like the Cayce readings) in such a short presentation. However, it does seem to help others as it adds another perspective to their own knowledge of the "help" that is available in this world. I believe that God will reach everyone of us and continues to help us live better lives and make better choices no matter what direction we start from.

Hi Sharona Setlock: Is what I did in researching sources for this video any different from readers of ACIM, Cayce, or the Bible? Except when we turn within, through meditation, for our answers, we are relying on the interpretation each of the authors (Bible, ACIM, Cayce) received inspirationally. There is no such thing as direct dictation as long as we have free will to record the "truth" as we prefer. Before ACIM was published (and for years afterward) there were lawsuits concerning who owned the copyright. There were two versions of the material submitted, with differences, for the courts to consider. I, personally, perused three ring binders of those versions and observed some of those differences. I understand that every person wants to believe that they, alone, have grasped the truth. If we are honest with ourselves, every spiritual text we read is the same as all the rest. We read what the author recorded, from their own bias, regarding the truth they believe God shared with them. And then we interpret their biased perspective with our own bias. This is why meditation is far better a way to discern the truth for us all. Sacred texts, and KZfaq videos, etc., may help point out a general direction toward the truth, but every one of them is a mere shadow of the actual truth, including Cayce, the Bible, and ACIM.

Hi user-zw4he6yd7q: Are the movies we watch in a theater today real or fake? The stories are contrived, but the depictions of "life" they offer are often presented as a very real lesson to the viewer. Does that mean we should ignore the story because it is an illusion, or should we learn from it? It is an interesting question and not one easily resolved.

Hi teemue: This topic is like asking if artistic endeavors are worth pursuing. They are not "real," and yet, if we derive joy from viewing art, isn't that why the artist created it in the first place? The goal is to serve, entertain, help, and encourage each other to be the best that we can be. It doesn't matter what method we use to expand God's creation if it fits in harmony with everything else. It is a real paradox when the answer to "What is reality?" is equally answered/supported by "everything" and "nothing" simultaneously. Still, something is compelling in those opposing answers that says "truth" to me. For me, what is real is whatever we focus upon, for all else moves to the background when we do. The trick is to only focus on the things that support the Golden Rule and the Great Commandment. In that way, an eternal heaven of experiences lies before us. If we choose to focus on things that detract from God's beauty, then we reap what we sow until we figure out a better way to live and interact with others.

the only difference is in the words to me doing the course I read ego and evil as the same energy its just that the Course extends forgiveness, not punishment for mistakes made out of disconnection from God and the ignorance that comes from that (mistakes). The Course portrays a loving, understanding and forgiving God, not a punitive judgmental God. A God that says ooops, choose again not a God that says I will make sure you burn in Hell! Hi Rachel Blackburn: Edgar Cayce died on 1/3/45. My guess is you ask wondering what his readings had to say about a book that didn't come along until decades later. That's a fair question...lol. The intent of this channel is to bring forth the Cayce information using our speakers' personal interpretations of the material as we compare and contrast it with other worldviews...e.g. traditional Christianity, Tolle, and now ACIM. The information has been well-received in each case, meaning those who mostly prefer the worldview we present along with the Cayce readings believe we have done a good job of being impartial. So, to answer the implied question; "no," Cayce did not mention the ACIM material in his readings. The video simply compares and contrasts the spiritual concepts given in both to better help the viewers discern the truth for themselves.

Hi tbooi18: I pulled a couple of quotes out of what you posted and offered my own “take” on them. Remember that my perspective is based more on the psychic readings of Edgar Cayce than ACIM. “Duality is a condition necessary for manifestation (form) to happen and be maintained” I believe that duality only occurs when the physical manifestation is at odds with the spiritual (God’s loving essence). If it were otherwise, then Jesus would be a duality of His spiritual perfect self. We were created to be companions and co-creators with God for eternity. While giving us free will opened the option for discord, it has a beginning and therefore is destined to have an end. As Jesus taught, a divided house cannot survive” (Matthew 12:25) “There can be no mountain without the valley, good without bad, etc.” I agree with your analogy regarding mountains and valley, for neither is an antithesis of the other. They are simply different ways of exploring creative unity. However, there need not be bad to correspond with good. Otherwise, there would have been bad alongside of God before the First Cause created anything else. There may always be the potential for “bad,” but it is our free will that brings it out of theory and into being. “Humans were without selfish ego when first created. However, humans without selfish desire are unhelpful in God's Plan to create a Heaven on Earth.” I believe that souls were created before the manifest universe (Let there be light). Our departure from perfection began with our rebellious spirit to do things “our way” instead of our way so that it fits in harmoniously with God’s perfection. Our misuse of our free will enhances God’s plan by bringing about the story of the Prodigal Son. Some souls (we humans here on earth, for example) will eventually and freely accept God’s loving ways for our own. Part of God’s plan is that with every temptation a way of escape (salvation?) has already been provided.

Hi Kim: I often try to answer such question by looking to the life of Jesus to see if an analogous situation happened to Him. In this case, I think there was. The bible tells us that when Jesus was overwhelmed by the crowd, He simply disappeared. However, when it came time to fulfill His purpose in the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus allowed Himself to be taken prisoner and killed. This tells me that there are occasions where either response (putting ourselves in harm’s way, or avoid it) to threatening situations is appropriate. It is up to us to discern which is best. Does this measure apply to less-than-life-threatening situations? I believe it does. Each of us must know how much we are able to give of ourselves in service before we become like a doormat or martyr. In Jesus' case, I'm sure He could give much more (using that guideline) than most of us. Still, we are here to learn and grow through service, so each should offer themselves in service to the extent that they reasonably can.

Hi open mind: I'm not sure I understand what you believe. Only the Earth and "life on it" is an illusion? The rest of the manifest universe is as we perceive it to be? If so, what caused us to create just this one planet/illusion, rather than spread ourselves across God's creation?

@@edgarcaycearizona67 my understanding is that the world/universe we see with our eyes is an illusion, but underneath is the real universe/world created by God that the body eyes don't see. the closest one is perceived by Holy Spirit. it is like we are a measuring device that always has errors so the real one we never know.

but the last step of knowing will be taken by God if following the Holy Spirit to reach status of happy world perceived by Holy Spirit

for example, lesson 57, we train our mind to look differently, we ask our mind to see the world as it is, that it is a place where the son of God finds his freedom

We both agree that ACIM says that God did not create the illusion that is the world that most humans perceive, measure, accept as reality. We (me, you, ACIM) also agree that God did create the manifest universe, though we do not see it the same now as we will once we attain the Christ Consciousness. If you understood something differently from the video, I hope that cleared it up.

Hi Katherina Warren: A good friend of mine was on staff at the ARE HQ back when the litigation over the copyright version of ACIM was taking place. He still has the original manuscript from those days. So, yes, I've seen it and am aware of the differences between it and the blue book version. For the most part, the parts of ACIM that I covered in the presentation were not in the differing areas.

Hi Edward: The Cayce readings always maintained that the information found in them should enhance whatever world view you are already drawn to. If you are a Christian, then allow the ECRs to help you be a better Christian. If you are into ACIM, then take what is good from the Cayce readings and allow it to expand the ACIM material. My experience is that folks who study ACIM more often do so to the exclusion of everything else. After all, if all of this is an illusion, what alternative is allowed? While ACIM on its own may work for some, it does not work for me...or you either, it appears.

I'm sorry to hear that your Search for Truth group broke up, but I've had MANY miracles as a result of my ACIM practice! Different paths resonate with different people, and each of us must follow what works for us.

Hi Cole: I'd be interested in hearing your corrections regarding the interpretations of ACIM in this video. I am a Cayce pundit and only recently studied ACIM. I know nothing about Perron, so please don't go there since I won't understand where I went wrong on ACIM before moving onto to Perron.

Ok a bit later but still. Every sentence in Acim is suppose lead you to the Holy Spirit or spirit of wholeness within that when connected to will show you way Home all the way. Ego mind loves interpretations because it maintains its premise of seek and do not find. So many teachers as example’s demonstrated this misperception about Acim and now it became a book for spiritual egos. But no direct experience. So to correct this ; Read anything in Acim and wait as you slow down what experience it ignites in you. Then connect to this experience and let IT teach you not the book. Now, due to this glitch that took place (and,..it wasn’t wrong) comes A course of love to correct this. See it as primal. I have opened Acim in Slovakia where they can’t understand English so no “old school teachers” had any influence and it’s a whole different joy to watch. All I did tell them what Acim says Seek only the experience and do let theology (and interpretations) to delay you. At this point acol is recommended more than Acim. But maybe not.

Hi Jen: When making that statement, I was speaking from the position, as I understand it, of what is taught in ACIM. My own personal belief is that there is no such thing as an Atheist. We simply refer to God by different names. Most self-described Atheists call God by the names of science, music, mathematics, chemistry, or physics. Others, such as Buddhists, believe there is one power, but it is not an "intelligent design" behind the formation of all life. The one power is more like physics in that it seeks balance in a natural rather than purposeful way. In other words, the First Cause is "God" to all, but God can also be the perfect parent to those who would seek a closer relationship with our Maker. I'm actually in agreement with your stated belief that we are all a part of God. I will add that I believe that there is the First Cause or Consciousness that purposefully runs the manifest and non-manifest universes according to the law of love. I hope that answered your question?

I dont believe we have the true ultimate sense of self until, like Jesus said, sit by still waters. We have a sense of being the controller of this body, but now we can look deeper into the sense of who is doing all this labeling.

​@@JenNagleInk Hi again: I asked a question during meditation once that was along the lines of our perception of "our reality" versus how God sees reality. I found myself visualizing a merry-go-round with all of life around me whipping by so quickly it was hard to follow. Then I found myself being pulled ever-closer to the center until I stopped spinning altogether and was able to look in any direction while focusing on anything I desired. Next, I was lifted higher and higher as I gazed upon the spinning "reality" below me. I took that visual metaphor to mean that the more we become involved in thinking "reality" is what we see and experience with our 5 senses, the closer we move our perceptions and understanding toward the edge of this merry-go-round we call life. We become so "caught up" that we can hardly focus on anything. But the more we can center ourselves and even raise above the fray, The closer we come to seeing "reality" as God sees it. We can experience the world without becoming a part of the world. That is, we can focus on everything at once without being caught up in it. Or we can focus on the tiniest detail to our heart's content.

@@edgarcaycearizona67 the merry go round is a nice metaphor. I eccept that as part of my reality as well. It's funny that my analytical mind want to ask all the questions because it feels that all the answers are just under the surface, yet as a pandora box opens unexpected surprises, the questions just lead to more questions. I think that if I laid my head down next to another curious version of myself each night, there would be very little sleep that would happen. Every day I seek to ask a new question and seek to find an answer to something else I have pondered.

@@edgarcaycearizona67 I forgot to tell you that I have explained, to a few friends what i think it would feel like to be god or let's say obtaining christ conciousness, and i told them that if i were god, it would be like sitting at the center of a glass marble of this whole universe. You would come to the center because you are returning to who you really are, from being lost into only seeing from a limited perspective. Once you can imagine what it is like to know what the whole human experience is like you move closer to the center. When you know what it is like to be coming from all possible perspectives of all in the universe, you will achieve christ conciousness. It is true love of self that helps us to find our way back to ourselves. We almost have to forget who we think we are to see who we never were. Sitting at the center means we have asked every question there is to be asked and answered. That is christ conciousness or being god. Yes, some of us know Ye are gods.

Hi Choc Chips: I won't speak for ACIM, but I feel comfortable responding to you from the Cayce readings (ECRs) perspective. You said that God is a Being who is more powerful than us. The ECRs say that we are all a part of God with the same omniscience and omnipotence because we were created in God's image. You said that there are other knowledgeable Beings who can manipulate us humans. The ECRs say that the only thing in existence is the mind of God. In a similar way to how a zygote divides itself into identical cells, God divided God's consciousness and free will into an infinite number of souls (us). So while some souls may try to exert power and control over others, they can only succeed to the extent that we will allow them to do so. The ECRs say that there is no other consciousness outside of the mind of God. You said that the human body was created to be like a prison to souls. The ECRs say that we willingly inserted our consciousness into physical forms and forget who we were after becoming convinced that we are only humans who may have a soul instead of souls having a temporary physical existence. Think of assuming a physical form, and why we would do that, in the same manner as why so many choose drugs or alcohol to limit their thinking. Those who become addicted are stuck. I'll stop there, but I'm very willing to answer any questions that my post may bring to mind.

Natural law of the universe/god's mind?” A: If the Big Bang rolls all of “existence” up into a singularity where there is no matter/energy/time/space, then whatever is controlling the manifest universe must be able to exist outside of those things. If you take away matter/energy/time/space you have thought, or consciousness, remaining. It takes a large shift in perspective to realize that nothing we see is anything more than our separate consciousnesses agreeing to interact with each other according to made up rules called the physical laws of the universe. Think of living on earth as being an online video game where the real players are sitting at home on a couch while experiencing their avatars’ lives inside the game. We souls, made in God’s image, never left home/heaven. But our bodies/avatars have trouble understanding an existence that lies outside of the physical laws of the universe. Q: “God has mind? Isn't the mind confined to a brain? God has a body and brain?” A: If a fish had the ability to think like a human, could it imagine a life lived outside of the water? Many humans are the same way about imagining a life lived without a corporeal body. It seems scary at first and makes no sense. But what about our dreams? Don’t those seem real and yet they don’t require space or time for the things that occur within them? The reality is that our human existence is the dream and our eternal lives as pure consciousness beings is our true nature. Q: “Created? The body or the soul? Who is the creator? God? What are you referring to? A higher being? Energy? Atoms?” A: We were created in God’s image, meaning pure consciousness. We require no energy/matter/time/space to exist. From a purely “scientific” perspective, it is correct to call God the First Cause. Using the zygote metaphor, we all live and move and have our being inside the mind of God, similar to how cells all live inside of the original egg. It is said that “as it is above, so it is below,” meaning that life on earth has its corollaries in our lives without bodies. Q: “We assumed this physical form? How do we stop assuming? By death? Or do we simply living in denial?” A: Think of the cartoons Casper the Friendly Ghost, or Gumby. Casper was able to animate objects by inserting himself into them. Gumby was able to walk into a book and experience the stories they contained. In both cases, they only needed to reverse that process to go back to their original lives. However, isn’t it easy to understand how a soul could forget that they are not a part of the story surrounding them? It is not that we can’t leave, it is that we don’t believe there is anywhere else to go. Your meditations are an excellent way to understand the answers to your questions. Start asking questions while you are in meditation and begin writing down the answers that will come to you on the wings of your own thoughts. When Jesus said, “The kingdom of heaven is within” the meaning was that at our highest level of consciousness, we never left ethereal/metaphorical God’s side. You will receive all the answers of your heart through patience, perseverance and a desire to be the best person you can be.

Many philosophies and spiritual traditions regard the changing phenomenal world as fundamentally unreal (including Buddhism and Hinduism). Lumping Charles Manson and his atrocities in with these teachings is truly misguided. Studying different religions and philosophies should illuminate the truth not lead to greater accusation, fear mongering and confusion.

@@Ohm521 You are confused. The world is real. However, how we interpret the world, through sense data and our preconceived.ideas of the world forms an idea (or illusion) of the objective world. Charles Manson's teaching was virtually identical to the CIM. Manson taught only love and emphasized the unreality of the world, telling his disciples to kill to free the souls of the victims as an act of love. After all, in Charlie's world it didn't matter, it was all an illusion. Manson used the unreality of the objective world as an excuse for monstrosities. The CIM is the most horrible nihilism masquerading as a message from Jesus. ech! Poor Cayce, his ARE has been victimized by sophomoric thinking of a crazy woman (Schucman) and a truly evil belief system.

Hi Bryan: You said that well! Usually when someone is rewriting a section from the video, something gets lost in translation. (smiles) Regarding how I feel God looks at sin, think of the following equations: 2 + 2 = 4, 2 + 2 = 5, 2 + 2 = 6, 2 + 2 = 7. we all can agree the first equation is correct. However, which of the equations that follow the first one is more correct than the others? The answer is that all but the first one are wrong. The degree of "wrongness" (smiles) can be determined, but how helpful is it to make such a measurement? I believe the important point Jesus made in such cases is that we "Go forth and sin no more" rather than "Go forth and sin a little less." (lol) Here's an interesting way that I think we can ascertain the degree of "wrongness" when comparing one sin to another. One sin is worse than another by the measurement of the effort it will take on the sinner's part to correct their thinking and future actions to align with God's loving ways. That helps us to better understand the concept, but it doesn't change that nothing other than 2 + 2 = 4 is correct.

Kenneth wapnick is the Catholic priest who Bill and Helen became involved with as part of getting the book printed in the early setup part of the original history is that bill was given the right to edit build dead at it out personal information the story of the shoes the story of the taxi cab and I don't know what the beginning and end line is exactly what he actually edited but I hopefully you catch my drift car and Chan is the gentleman who kind of took out all of the Freudian and sex stuff out of there it became so frustrating for Bill that he threw his hands up so to speak and said while I'm not going to do any more attending that's it can and it is to this that the rift is kind of all about I've read the original ur-text online had copies of it on my computer at one time. The original notes in the typed up carbon paper copy the third portion which was given to Hugh Lynn Cayce. It is very eye-opening and you get a different sense about it a beautiful piece of work certainly the shoes may or may not be appropriate to have in the final copy but it brought so much human realism and a sense of down to earth, that it touches your heart and opens your mind.
