For 2021 version, go to connect app - on the top left (3 lines), select it, scroll down to 'safety & tracking' , then select 'safety features' and add emergency contact....follow on screen guide.

Juist aangekocht ontgoocheld dat de percentage helling of daling niet kan weergegeven. VOO Meij was dit heel belangrijk bij het klimmen!

If you have a power bank with you can you connect it to the device as it is running to keep the battery charged?

The distance my garmin edge explore gives me to my endpoint is always less than it actually is. Usually between 20 to 30 %. Is this to do with the setup ?

Can you simply upload a gpx file? Can you do this via usb rather than via bluetooth? Is the screen transflective? I.e. easier to view in sunlight as opposed to just relying on backlight like a phone

Yes, you can upload gpx files through Garmin Connect. I don't have problems seeing the screen in different brighgness conditions. It works great

Terrible product. USB connection is as slow as never seen after year 1990. Backup needs about 45 minutes. Update for new maps is abut 3 hours. Without an garmin account you are not able to do necessary things. Battery is much to small to cycle for more than 6 - 8 hours... Bought it, tested it - send it back. Disapointing device
