🔺Well, here comes a little Monday treat for you all. As I wrote in my rescent post "I've taken a week off from uploading to focus on learning new techniques, which you will see in the video I will upload in an hour or two! It will be very Blade Runner heavy. I even borrow some notes of vangelis's original BR Theme, but not completely. I keep it BR reminescent whilst maintaining the "Spacewave" feel to it. Today's upload will be a soundscape homerun in my book, and I'm looking forward to reading your comments :)" So there you have it. If you like this one, you know what to do :) Peace!🔺NOTE: If you want to support my work, please feel free to leave a very much appreciated donation: ko-fi.com/spacewavecosmicrela.... Have a great day :) SEO: I create ambient space music, ambient sci fi music, ambient cyberpunk music, ambient fantasy music to be used as ambient background music. You can use the music as ambient music for study, ambient music for focus, ambient music for work, ambient music for sleep, ambient music for relaxation, ambient music for reading, ambient music for writing - whatever really :) All my ambient music contains rain ambience or nature ambience. My music is best described as atmospheric ambient music, soothing ambient music, relaxing ambient music, tranquil ambient music, ethereal ambient music, cinematic ambient music, dark ambient music.

I discovered Space Wave Cosmic Relaxation a couple years ago when I first developed chronic pain from spinal stenosis. In 10 places I have damaged vertebrae and discs that are pushing on my spinal cord with the pain being in my entire upper torso. The pain is like nothing I've ever experienced and keeps me in a constant state of nausea. This channel continues to be my favorite in getting me out of my mind and body while waiting for the medication to take effect. Thank you for all of your amazing compositions 🙏🏼👏🏼✨

Hey Dave. So sorry to hear you are suffering like this. I have something similar but in my lower left part of the back with muscle spasms/twitching. I'm not where you are on a pain level, but I am definitely feeling a developement in the wrong direction. I will try to reverse it via excersice. I hope you will get better. Thanks for listening and I'm glad you feel that way about my music :) Take care..

A bit here... a few melodies there... but JUST enough for me to close my eyes and see the initial shot of Tyrell's building and that perfect view of futuristic skyscrapers as Deckard's asked "Do you like our owl?" Ok, so, because this is Blade Runner immersion, I'm returning with an excerpt from the Blade Runner novel I'm working on. I entered into the fray on an earlier post when I responded to someone who wasn't sure about the abbreviated lifespan built into the Nexus series. Here's part of the first chapter I've written, describing the genesis of each Nexus stage. Keep in mind, this isn't official canon (as yet). This is just from the personal research I've conducted for writing the story. Please, enjoy while listening to this masterful piece and let me know what you think. Nexus 1s were introduced to the world on the cusp of the year 2000. The first biologically-created entities, they were really nothing more than simple organic dolls equipped to perform the most basic of functions; the first draft, with an average IQ of 75-80. Each Nexus phase was a refinement of and addition to the prior one. Complexity of thought processes, strength, coordination, reactions to physical stimuli, it was all like each successful evolutionary leap of humanity; Ramapithecus, Australopithecus, Homo Erectus, Neanderthalensis, Cro-Magnon, Homo Sapiens, yet it was carried out in time scales of years or months instead of geological epochs. In both cases, though, necessity of adaptation had been the trigger. The task began at improving the design. Emboldened, Tyrell set to work with a vigor he hadn't felt since his college days. Biomedical science leapfrogged forward to a level of early 1.3 on the Kardashev Scale by 2002. Certain religious objections among the design team were quietly damped down. Some members who couldn't cope philosophically with what they were doing were reminded of the NDAs they'd signed, replaced and others brought on. Increases in pay to the group stilled most further hesitation... ...Nexus 2s had the genetic traits that led to conditions such as obesity, sickle-cell anemia, near- and farsightedness, diabetes and other medical problems, at the very least, rendered inert if they couldn't be removed outright. The resurrection of the UOX gene from mammalian templates of about 90 million years ago brought with it the ability to easily break down uric acid. If for anything else, replicants wouldn't be suffering from gout. They also showed markedly improved performance both mentally and physically over the 1s, but still not enough to satisfy Tyrell. He pushed his gengineering teams harder. Nexus 3 subjects established themselves by their defiance and were the main reason for the initial creation of the Replicant Detection units, or Rep-Detect for short, in police precincts among the national enclaves around the planet. These 3s were both physically and mentally on a par with normal, undamaged baseline Olympic-level human athletes in strength, reflexes and endurance. Without a childhood to provide the needed basis for socializing, though, they began questioning their role. Tyrell wasn't ready yet to unleash them freely without reservations. He was afraid their rebelliousness would cause the UN to put a clamp down on further development so he relegated the Nexus series to a servile role for the time being. To do that, he would need some way to control them and put a limit on their obstinacy. The rapid aging caused by progeria was studied extensively. The developmental coding of a protein called Lamin Epsilon B that maintained the nucleic integrity of the host cells for a set amount of time but then rapidly dissolved after a predetermined number of cellular divisions was introduced into the DNA of replicant internal organs and musculature. A 4-year lifespan was the answer. This had the effect of forcing the yokes back around the later 3s and subsequent models' necks. It didn't stop their defiance should they develop any but it did put certain limits on the damage they could cause. Sanctioned by the UN and deputized by Interpol as the logical development and elaboration of Rep-Detect, Blade Runners came after those who persisted and went rogue. The name, 'Blade Runner' was initially informally coined from the weapon of choice used by those early on in the profession at the late stage of the Nexus 3s, who, at the time, had a chance of physically besting their manufactured opponents up close and personal. It was a point of pride to show that a bounty hunter was capable of running down and taking out a replicant face to face. Besides, 'Blade Runner' sounded a lot cooler than 'bounty hunter'. I'll continue the Nexus description tomorrow. Getting late and I've gotta get to bed for work tomorrow. To be continued... Peace.

@davidledoux1736 got the idea from some indie stories I found on a Blade Runner fan site (which shall remain nameless, because every time I post the name up here, KZfaq admin erases it; just think 'blade' and 'zone', put the two together and add '.com' at the end and that secret code will lead you to it.) I was originally just gonna write a short story to put up there, but the more I wrote, the more ideas popped into my head. I'm gonna lengthen it out to what Philip K Dick's original story's word count was; just over 62,000. I'm halfway there, currently. Then I'm gonna approach Dark Horse comics and see if they want to make a graphic novel or something out of it. I've also got an idea for a Blade Runner-based TV show. Maybe call it Blade Runner: Tales of the Future after Vengelis's track of the same name. Tie up that and the Alien universe, like Ridley said they were. Oh well, I'll be back on after work. Peace.

@spacewavecr (Holden smiled in what he hoped was a convincing fashion as he stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray, sitting across the desk from the man in the light blue cleaning scrubs, "They're just questions, Leon. In answer to your query, they're written down for me. It's...", spreading his hands, "a test designed to provoke an emotional response." He grinned. "Shall we continue?" Leon nodded. Holden glanced down at his notes, then looked pointedly at Leon, "Describe in simple words only the good things that come to your mind. About... your mother?" "My mother?" "Yes." Leon sat still for a second, then leaned forward and placed his elbows on his knees, a look of calmness on his face, as if he'd made up his mind about something. "Let me tell you about my mother." Bang.) So, to pick up where I left off... Tyrell continued on. The Nexus 4 phase's primary upgrade was the transfecting of their human genetics with the tardigrade-specific protein, Dsup, successfully finding a way to bind it with the nucleosomes in the chromatin structure of replicant DNA, providing protection from hydroxyl radicals and leading to tolerance against high levels of ionizing radiation. If there was to be any further war, these and future replicants would be particularly adept at surviving the effects of nuclear fallout. Working to incorporate Dsup further into the nucleic structure, this also granted high resilience against extremes of temperature, leaving replicants largely unaffected in a threshold between a high of positive 212 degrees and a low of negative 298 degrees Fahrenheit by instantly causing a reflexive superficial anhydrobiosis in affected tissues to hot or cold stimuli. Inspired, Tyrell took to chimerization from different species as well as activating dormant genes already in the baseline mix to find the desired traits he was looking for in his new brand of humanity. Nexus 5s saw further improvements to both their mental and physical capabilities, edging them past by a sizable margin what baseline humans could normally achieve. The enhancement of the intestinal microbiome, allowing them to utilize about 90% of the nutrients they ingested, far outpacing the 25% a normal human did; replicants only had to eat one meal roughly every three days, with correspondingly less trips to the bathroom to eliminate waste. The enablement of storing oxygen in the myoglobin of their muscles much like marine mammals, released back into the bloodstream as needed, granting them phenomenal levels of endurance and the ability to hold their breath for periods of up to twenty minutes. The genetic expression of LRP5, imbuing them with up to 8 times the skeletal density and durability of a normal baseline human, making their bones almost unbreakable unless a large enough deliberate force was applied. A ramped-up mitochondrial activity efficiency, allowing the cells of their bodies to take even greater advantage of the tremendous chemical energies inherent in oxygen. A selective suppression of the myostatin gene, coupled with the mitochondrial enhancement, allowing for the development of greater muscle fiber and more efficient energy usage of those fibers, although in order to keep normal production line series as close in appearance to baseline as possible, actual muscle bulk was kept muted by simply adding tissue with a much denser myofibril count. Stronger than bodybuilders without the size unless that was the desired look for a particular model. Deeply anchored attachments and advantageous placement of the tendons and ligaments to the bones. All of this allowed them to bypass, somewhat, the limitations imposed by the Square-Cube law of physics; a greater strength-to-mass ratio meant they had to use less of their strength just to move their own weight around and put it toward other tasks. Localization of stress phenomena and the ability to ignore the natural urge to retreat from traumatic events as well as to enclose and protect damaged areas of the body from harm by muting nociceptor pathways, although the parietal lobe was left unmodified. The pituitary gland released much higher amounts of endorphins and enkephalins into the bloodstream in response to trauma. These beings could take a beating like nothing ever seen before dropping, although destruction of their brain stopped them just as quickly as anyone else. A purposeful mutation of the gene, DEC2, allowing them to function at full efficiency on only 2 hours of sleep in a day. Neuroplasticity was increased in certain models, bringing with it an average IQ of 150 and an ability to learn as quickly as children did. There were some drastic failures as well. The life of a replicant was, by its nature, extremely harsh. There were many instances where replicants suffered catastrophic injuries in the performance of their duties; with limbs being blown off and the victims having to be euthanized when they proved unable to continue to perform their assigned tasks and the cost of being retrained for other jobs deemed too high. Tyrell formed a focus group that took in a batch of injured replicants and attempted to alter their genome to try and activate what was the dormant ability in the human genetic blueprint to regrow lost or amputated limbs, much like salamanders. In test subjects, the p21 gene and the p53 gene were altered in an attempt to enable adult cells to act as pluripotent stem cells, inhibiting apoptosis and encouraging rampant cell division. The experiment was ultimately canceled when the replicants started suffering from cancerous tumors that spread like wildfire throughout their bodies. It was like the genes became confused and fought against the built-in limiters on human size through the growth spurt of childhood and subsequent halt of that growth at the onset of becoming an adult. These bodies hadn't actually been GROWN, after all (author's note: I didn't mention it here, but earlier in the chapter I explained that Tyrell had switched from gestation tanks to 3D organic printers, developed in partnership with Peter Weyland, to speed up the process of replicant construction and training, shortening the process from 3 1/2 months to 2 weeks, which is why the bodies don't coalesce, they're printed), and the cells couldn't reconcile the fact that the subjects had skipped the stages that had developed through millions of years of evolution. As a result, the genes tried to obey imperatives without a sufficient road map to guide them and uncontrolled growth, which was what cancer actually was, ripped through those replicants being tested. Not one subject lasted beyond 2 months. Other attempts at altering adult subjects by interfering with their established genetic architecture also led to failure. Tyrell was eventually forced to admit that there were limits to even his wealth of knowledge. Evolution had had far more time to perfect its practices through trial and error. At least to this point. And now, the Nexus 6. First established in early 2015, these were the specialized models; pleasure, combat, labor, etc. The secretion of large amounts of pheromones to attract members of the opposite sex and enhanced primary and secondary sexual characteristics in pleasure models. Improvement of sections of the frontal lobes in combat models, as well as a ramped-up muscle memory through enhancement of the proprioceptor network and fast-twitch muscle response, leading to wildly successful tactical thinking and reaction speeds that defied belief. The wiring of the pleasure centers of the brain to the exertions of physical activity of labor models, giving them a willingness to perform extended physical tasks that was almost pathological. Tyrell looked on at his creations with satisfaction. Really, only one thing left to incorporate. Well, maybe two... There you have it, folks. My take on the development of the Nexus series. I did follow through with those up to the Nexus 9 model (those that Wallace created) and what made them easy to control, but that's a tale for another time. Feel free with any questions or comments. Till next time, peace.
