You really need what are called cannon sprinklers, also known as Big Gun sprinklers. Mount one of those puppies on the top of your chain link fence at two opposing corners. That is all you will need for your pasture. Set them running and forget about all the time you and your lovely wife spend moving, setting and turning on and off the water. You will LOVE them!

That is a FANTASTIC suggestion and we need to look at those. We're also considering multiple zones on a traditional sprinkler system, so we can use the zones around the tractors as they move. Those tractors are the biggest challenge because we move them daily and have to water around them.

Can’t wait to see how your new process turns out.

Thanks Shani, so are we. Right now we're about 2 weeks out from shooting this video and the pasture is coming along very nicely. It should be ready for our broilers to see grass in a week or 2!

Do you have any tips on caring for / pruning citrus trees? Not sure if I have seen a video on that from you yet. Thanks

Hey Shani. We haven't done a pruning video on citrus yet, mainly because we don't regularly prune them. Citrus trees don't require regular pruning, so you really just prune when you need to. We are going to be doing more pruning videos this winter and we should probably cover this then as I'm sure there are others that have the same question. As for care, the important thing with citrus is full sun exposure, regular fertilizing (they're heavy feeders to keep those leaves green all year) and plenty of regular water when it's hot. You know, we should probably cover this in a video. Thanks for the idea!

Are you wanting to change the shape of it or knock it down in size?

Both actually

Well, the most important thing would be not to shock the tree. General rule of thumb is to remove no more than 30% of total branching each year. You can do this all at once or gradually over the year. For citrus, it doesn't really matter when you prune, but I prefer to prune when it's actively growing. So for us in AZ that would be spring and fall. But you can really do it anytime of year. Here we don't prune our citrus except to keep branching off the ground or running into another tree, etc. Because we prune in the winter and spring (spring for peach) I usually prune them in spring. Hope this helps!
