Bayview lake is part of village creek which empties into the river at miller steam plant. The waste treatment plant at ensley empties into it.

Outstanding video, I am more familiar with that site than I would like to be as I have plowed out several fire on that tailings pile over the years.i suspect there is an underground fire or going through a heat that comes to the surface from time to time. Where did the tailings come from behind that school on the corner of Dainel Payne Dr and cherry Ave? There is acres of material there on both sides of the road we used to ride on when I was a kid in the 80s

The road and the road that Y-ed. that area was not lost to me. Age has erased many memories.

The history is fascinating, but the land that was left behind by these mining companies seems desolate. Does anyone own these places or are they now the states (tax payers) problem?
