Nobody has been better in acting than Edie Falco and James Gandolfini - what a power couple they were! They should have each gotten an Emmy for each year they were eligible and each time they didn't get it, it was absolute highway robbery. Here, on this video, I just love the way James Gandolfini looked on with admiring eyes (and perhaps relief) for Edie as she walked by him to accept the Emmy... it's so sad that he's no longer here, no longer able to give the gift of his talents to his fans and fellow actors... RIP James Gandolfini.

I think they even " trumped" " Archie & Edith Bunker" ....they are both at THE TOP! I am almost 54 and remember those people too! Carroll O' Conner won 5x and was nom. 8 in 11 seasons for BEST ACTOR! ( " All in the Family")

Enoti Lew Loved this whole cast & you are right... how this whole cast did not win every single yr absolutely amazes me! No better acting anywhere than on this amazing series! James G. was an incredible actor & is sorely missed! “MAY HE REST IN PEACE!” I am so glad Edie Falco won but watching the series now, in reruns just tugs at my heart knowing James G. is gone! Bless his soul!

Hold on. You're saying Michael Chiklis win in 2002 for the iconic role of Vic Mackey was highway robbery? No way! Have to heavily disagree. But other than that I do agree. Tony and Carmela were the new Archie and Edith. Incredible talent.

Daniel Toma I do too. You are so right! It is so terribly sad that he died so very young, leaving his young son without a father. He was such an incredibly talented man but moreover he had such a kind heart. Everyone loved him & you never heard a bad thing about him... ever! Such a huge loss for his family, friends and the millions of us fans who loved & admired this amazing man. He left an incredible legacy!

She is absolutely gorgeous! If you go back through all the comments above( actually a side comment, that doesn’t immediately show prominently, at first, unless you are looking at all the comments that people posted( which is what I originally was doing, you’ll notice that some fool named “TA A” ,commented nastily on her looks! I loved it though that someone else “called that person out on their rude comment!” Someone else though , very pointedly, called that person out, on their nasty comment. I think Edie Falco is absolutely gorgeous! She is an incredible actress, as well. !! ! I so agree with you & loved seeing your post! So glad she won the award too! It was so well deserved!❤️

Beautiful speech & such an incredible actress! She is an amazing actress that brings true heart to any role she plays! Her loving words about the rest of the cast & working environment on THE SOPRANOS said it all. Edie Falco brought such depth & “believability” to her role as Carmela. Edie Falco is a strong, intelligent, chic woman and I so admire her! I always have! I am so very glad that she won!

Wasn't that Stanley Tucci as Edie's date? I also noticed something about whenever anybody wins anything on the Soprano- The Actor, Actress, Writer, Directior= always talk about what a great Cast and Crew, their agents, etc. NO one ever talks about the Subject the Show is about- The Mafia. On a Medical, Police or Lawyer show, they will talk about the hard work doctors, nurses, Police, lawyers do. I never saw one cast Member talk about the good, hard work the Mafia and Organized Crime does for the USA. Or even the bad things the Mafia does in the USA.
