@peristicas 360DB is newer model with wireless subwoofer and slightly bigger woofer but in my opinion the price different is too much. I've chosen 350 and I'm absolutely satisfied. If you want to go wireless go for 360DB.

@@shronj9080 Yes. There is a nob on the right side of the right speaker that controls the base. You essentially can go from "very little (not very noticeable)" level of base to SUPER bass

Reminds me of the top of the Bose soundlink revolve which is a potable bt speaker with a symetrical control interface up top. I placed a small rubber "bump" (idk what they're called it came with one of my drawers to prevent damage when you shut them) on one side so I have a point of reference when using them in low light,

Optical is better. If you consider yourself an audiophile then you may notice the difference. Otherwise most people probably won't be able to tell what connection it's using.

Using the 3.5mm plug into the audio out port on either. Same as a standard speaker or headphones.

Bass is very loud and deep, really punchy for an 8 inch sub I love mine.

If you push in the bottom knob on the speaker it switches the input, you can have them plugged into 5 different things and swap between all of them by pressing the knob

people say its annoying to hold and not intuitive to simply pick up and use

most pc only have 3.5mm audio out. optical on the other hand I think is available only in expensive motherboards or if you have PCI expansion optical out.

It depends but I've noticed that D/A converter in my sound card (Sound Blaster Z) is better than in speakers so I use RCA for connection from my PC. If you have shitty onboard audio then SPDIF is no brainer.

Hi-Res doesn't really do much, it's just branding, most people can't tell the difference between 16 to 24 bit audio, what matters is the speakers driver and also components in this case the DSP running across the edifiers, Hi-Res audio will not make a difference it's mostly placebo. However a great speaker design will actually make a huge difference. Edifiers are great since they use real components apart from the DSP but for the price it's great. But even the aptx won't make a huge difference unless your tv has that codec, but most phones usually do. It's a great speaker the hi res audio at this point is simply snakeoil.

I also have the z5500 and im thinking exactly the same way about it. I know the bass of the 350db is superb aswell but you should think about giving up 5.1 for 2.1. Anyways, bought this device in the end?

@@deadpool8422 Sound bars are universally priced at least 2-3x higher than they are worth. The main things they offer are a stylish/minimalist look and gimmicky "fake surround sound" that uses postprocessing to add echoes and stuff or tweak the EQ to weird fake sounding settings like "stadium" or "cinema". Aside from the fact that the sound coming out of them is generally garbage in the first place, speakers need to be far apart for proper soundstage/imaging (about as far from each other as from the listener), and the drivers on a soundbar are jammed into about a 4' package... so unless you're sitting within 4' of your TV, big nope.

​@Siim Ehastu You must be kidding. I had these Logitech before and sound quality of s350DB is miles ahead. Logitech has satellites with one woofer for mids and heights in a plastics litle case -> when compared to edifiers it sounds metallic and not natural. Subwoofer ? In comparison with edifier lows are muffled and distorted on high volumes while edifier is precise and punchy. Logitech could be good for some electronic music but vocals no way. Please better save for Edifiers. You won't regret it.

@Siim Ehastu Yes, I have these still at home. Going back to the reseller on Monday. In fact the subwoofer of Z623 is smaller than S350DB. It's more rectangular while edifier is almost square. There is an ugly steel mesh so you can't directly see the woofer. Frequency range of S350DB is much better and precise. Those Z623 are not bad as PC speakers for the price but for music S350DB is much better. They looks like a child toy next to edifiers. If you are on budget Z623 is a good choice though. If you want 5.1 system have a look at Edifier S550 or 760D. They will be miles ahead Logitech. Btw, I had R2730DB before and man, these were great as well but I couldn't stand how big they were on my table so I had to sell them but sound was great. Edifier is a good company but don't buy cheapest product from them. I had S330D before and they produced buzzing noise from subwoofer and satellites and the sound was not good at all. Z623 are way better than this.

@Siim Ehastu Exactly, sound was fantastic but way too big on my 60cm pc table :) Of course such speakers are directional so it was problem to find good listening position. I handmade a stand but then they were even bigger. Really not looked good. For such speakers you have to dedicated stands at least 1m tall and listen from a distance. For S350DBs stands are also beneficial but it's enough if you buy small table stand which change the angle by 16 degrees. Then it's perfect for listening from close distance. Go for it.

Currently I have 2.1 setup with PC for movies where I take care of the dialogues by turning ON the loudness equalization (also called volume leveler or sound normalizer) setting in windows and it works great for me. I am looking at similarly priced soundbars but reviews say that they lack midrange. These soundbars have tiny woofers of around 1.5 to 1.75 inches, and even their subwoofer is smaller at around 6.5 inches. Should I be better off with similarly priced 2.1 soundbars or this Edifier speaker ???
