I agree Diane, I knew very little about Edith Frank but this gives us an insight into what a lovely wife and mother she was. It is beyond heartbreaking to hear about the unimaginable mental suffering she endured in Auschwitz, being separated from Anne and Margot mentally broke her in the end. She deserves to be remembered.

I’m really glad that we know the Edith as she was: a strong woman, a devoted mother and I wished Anne would have had more patience with her. She didn’t deserve what happened. None of them did. You’re never far from our thoughts, Edith

This woman was an Angel. She preferred eat nothing and save her bread for her daughters . Sigh.. what a kind and devoted example .. a Generous and incredible woman and mother. She was described as hard and resigned but actually Ann was only 13 or 14 and was a young teenager with no knowledge of life and dévotion to others. Édith left Frankfurt for her husband and daughters. She was a very kind and brave woman ! What a waste . Very Sad.

A well made film. Very less is known about Edith Hollander Frank and Margot Frank. She was a decent, kind and sweet person. Anne was very bitterly critical about her mother, Edith. But after separating from her mother at Auschwitz camp, Anne must have realised her mother's real worth. I feel sorry for the 8 people in hiding. None of them except Otto, survived. RIP Edith. RIP all who lost their lives.

I feel so sad for Edith. To have your body, mind, and soul broken by having the love of your life, your husband, taken away from you as well as your beloved children. Even with no certainity, she was determined to save all of her remaining food for them, and thought least of herself. It is a pity that Anne did not fully understand, at the time she was writing her diary, or perhaps care how her mother really was. Though to Anne's credit, she did acknowledge some of her mother's pain, at the fact that she genuinely loved Otto, but he appeared to be not as passionately in love with her. :(

I wish KZfaq didn’t disable the comments on the Anne Frank video this channel posted, but anyways; I will have a two minutes of silence for Anne at 3:00pm June 12, to represent the 15 years she lived (15:00 military time) and the two years she spent in hiding, I will also have Edith, Margot, Otto, and the other secret annex members in my mind as well. This is a lovely video of Edith, she was a beautiful woman, I find comfort in the fact that Edith and Anne were on better terms while in Westerbork Concentration Camp, so hopefully they didn’t die with regret about their relationship in the annex, the fact that Edith ate nothing, shows how selfless she was, Edith, you are remembered ❤️
