One of the best edited movies in my opinion are Chris Nolan's films. I like the way he portrays flashbacks. I believe his portrayal of flashbacks is very faithful with my own flashbacks.

In this world of homogenised content and repeating formats it is very refreshing to see someone thinking creatively and intuitively about their film making. Even rarer that I don't hate them for their flagrant populism. lol. Kudos to you, Zach. You have a good attitude and energy about you.

Great tips Zach ! Especially the "blinking eye" thing . After having watched your video, my wife said I had a strange look on my face : that's because I tried to be aware of my own (and her) "blinking moments". There is something almost magic with that when you realize peoples tend to blink at the same time -- and you can actually use that to make an edit virtually invisible...

I haven't finished the video, I just had to stop it to say that he has really beautiful hands. Now, back to it.

i love the series man! this is all so helpful and legit stuff. i like that we're learning the principles before touching the computer :) Although, personally i would light the indoor shots and maybe a bounce for outside shots.

This Video helped me a lot ! I was actually confused about cutting a continuous scene.. like I cut it to second vid and then.. ' Oh no! THIS DOESN'T LOOK GOOD !' So, now I know that if you don't have any idea of when to cut, cut it when the eye blinks.
