zellers? Let;s be honest, I was abit excited when they annouced their comeback. But now, WHAT ARE THEY DOING? They don't even make effort to bring it back nicely and fulfill the current market's trend and need. Look at their fixtures and props and walls, they look basic and cheapest and from the 70s or 80s. Not luxury or nice looking at all. They are just generic white fixtures, looks very much like a warehouse. How do they expect people to have a nice shopping experience? The lighting is bad. Why do these companies do not upgrade and learn from other companies in our countries??? look at France, they have nice shopping arcades and nice brands. Look at Thailand and Japan, they shopping malls and department malls are VERY VERY LUXURY and nicely renovated eventhough they sell only mid price ranged products. Now, look at zellers 2023. They look worse than a warehouse.... I guess our people here never learn. Zeller WILL FAIL again. You can just tell. Products are basic, no new brands and designer brands or local brands, basic warehouse looking fixtures and racks, little to no customer service, bad lighting.... Nothing correct is being done..... Who designed and approved this new zellers? Is our country's retail business really that bad? ....... I am just speechless. We are in 2023, why bring something back that is still from the 80s? The market has changed....

I'm glad to see Zellers put more of an emphasis on product design, but it's always been a low-cost retailer, so I'm not sure why you would want to see it suddenly carry designer luxury products. That would be a huge mistake that would not resonate well with either its core customers or the people that actually would buy high end products. As for the store design, sure, it could be better. I suspect these "Zellers experience" stores inside Hudson's Bay are mainly to test demand in anticipation of something bigger and potentially more permanent.

@@endeavourist5287 the thing is. we are in 2023 now. Store design is VERY important to enhance a brand's image. Zellers still looks like from the 60s and cheap. Even amazon warehouse looks better than their inventory racks.... This is sad.... Luxury brand doesn't mean it has to be expensive. It would be better if they have better products with lower price point and exclusive products and local brands to enhance their differences. Right now, they are just like the old zellers. Will it make a difference in 2023? Personalyl i don't think so. If they couldnt make it 10 years ago, now is 2023, where as people are MORE educated with better products, better designs and brands, i doubt they will survive.... Because for cheap brands, we already have walmart, costco etc. Do we need zellers? Plus, the bay has medium brands, so having zellers inside of them are weird. We have semi luxury products and very low pricepoint products both in one area.... I have no idea why they are doing this.... Canada is an immigrant country and we have so many people from around the world and most of them have seen nicer products from their countries. Zellers only offer very cheap products, how do they expect people to buy stuff from them? I think they are aiming the older generation customers. But the reality is that, we need more younger customers because that is for long term.
