@@EdMylettShow Honestly I think this topic. I found him (and you) through impact theory so I've seen a good number of his talks and interviews. I don't think I've really ever heard him mention this. Self love is something that is mentioned here and there as vitally important but it's hard to really get a grasp on it practically. Definitely a LOT of great content in this video otherwise and this was definitely not an avenue I expected to hear. It's kind of like not realizing you have a bruise until you lean on something and then you're like "Ow where did that come from?" Thanks again sir!

I’ve learned to stop feeling bad about being different and odd from the rest of my co-workers. I am self aware that I am smart in a different way. Others are faster to remember things, faster to speak their mind but careless of what feeling they gave to others, or they might be smarter than I am because they experience more. However, I have HEART. It is amazing when Jim described Ed being the “super human” wearing a cape but on the other hand being “super human” emotionally. That is beautiful because lots of people wants to be heroes at work that able to tackle all problems; but more likely forgot to be truthful, caring, or simply just stop to listen. I love every part of the conversation. Thank you very much for helping me to believe in myself and gain confidence to continue to be who I am!

I thought my life had nothing to offer anymore because life became meaningless to me cause, I had HERPES virus, the symptoms became very severe & conspicuous and it made my family abandoned me so they won't get infected. I gave up everything, my hope, dreams, vision, and job because the doctor told me there's no cure. I consumed so many drugs but they never cured me they only suppressed the symptoms inside me making it worse. I was doing some research online on how to get a permanent when I came across testimonies of some people on how Dr. Aloha cured them of HERPES virus, I never believed at first and thought it was a joke but later decided to contact him through his Email: Alohaherbalhome@gmail.com when I messaged him we communicated and he prepared the Herbal Cure and sent it to my address which I provided and He told me to go for a test after two weeks. Within just 7 days of using the medication, the symptoms disappeared, and when I went for a test Lo and behold I tested NEGATIVE by the same Doctor Who tested me earlier. Thank you so much Dr. Aloha I forever owe my life to you and I'll keep on telling the world about you. If you are going through the same situation worry no more and contact Dr. Aloha via Email: Alohaherbalhome@gmail.com or Call/Text: +1(202) 871-3222

People with the most negative self talk are the ones with emotional trauma which of course affected their self-esteem and self-love. With conventional therapy is that we need to dig deeper to understand that event that caused all the grieve. However, life is too short. I believe in self-love irrespective of the past. Once we understand how thoughts are made and the difference between consciousness and our animal/primitive braiin that's when a more heart-felt realization will be made. Conventional therapy needs to be revamped.

I absolutely love this! I studied adult learning in grad school and I applied what I learned to helping adults learn how to read and write. I don't do that work anymore, but I'm now a ghostwriter who helps people write books. You'd be surprised at how many hangups successful people have about their own perceived intelligence and their ability to write a good book. I love how Jim talks about having to relearn how to learn. Many of us are walking around with wounds inflicted upon as children in school and at home with our parents. It holds us back in ways we don't understand until we start to take a hard look on our lives. That's why I'm so excited to hear Jim talk about self love and learning in the same sentence. Learning should feel good and be exciting. HEART goals (as Jim puts it)... Such a great interview!

The biggest takeaway I got was the effective note taking, key points on the left and note creation on the right being the 3 questions of how I can apply this, why must I apply this and when will I use this. I can see this being EXTREMELY helpful. This process will allow my attention to be focused on how I can bring the new data from books, videos, podcasts I learn from to life! When i was little and maybe up to 12, i used to remember people's names easily, i knew by heart birthdays of everyone i knew, i remembered everything from classes and if i was absent, i would read a lecture once and will remember it clearly and even where what was written. And suddenly I've noticed my ability to do so has disappeared. I was sure and am now pretty sure that it hasn't disappeared forever, but it was me starting to worry more about what people think, i went into a self loathing phase, making myself feel like a victim, alone and hateful, and I've stired into that after 4 years and have been getting out of it for 4 more years. Recently I've been feeling like my old self more and more and more, and have been listening to your videos and others, like andy for example. You guys have helped me a lot, helped me to wake up, and are helping me to wake up even more. Life is tough, i still struggle but that's the way it goes. But overall, i feel so much happier. I think that by default, I'm more content. I used to hate success because people have hated on me for it. I used to feel bad for being accomplished in school but what was keeping me going was actually people telling me i am mad for wanting to try something hard, for example, enroll in a school that is very hard to get in, and similar stuff. But i always did. I've told them to watch, and i always did succeed. I've started to ramble, maybe I'm just collecting my mind, but even tho I'm kinda naturally good at this stuff, these videos help me a lot, i always feel like I don't know enough and turns out I'm right!!! There is always a space to grow and get better at whatever no matter how good you are. If you are the best, you can still grow! And you should. Never rest. Thanks once again for making this

Seriously! I wrote 6 pages of Notes!!! So Amazing! Your external words become your children's internal dialog which also means its probably your internal dialog as well. Self Love is not Selfish its a Necessity! Listen = Silent ... and the Doubling your reading speed and how much time it saves in the year blew my mind!! I've watched this 2x already and need to watch it again! lol #MaxOut acronym was awesome as well! So glad I got the notification about this interview!

I just really, REALLY realized that when I think "I'm lacking in x category", I'm hurting that woman in the mirror, who takes care of me, feeds me, clothes me, fills my minutes with purpose, joy and communion of the mind, and that person is strong, capable and has never let me down. I need to honor her, not think in the back of my mind, nuggets of worry, doubt, and fear, because WHEN has that Me let me down? Never. She's been through so much and look at her! She's still searching to be her highest self, in the midst of storms, internal and external, and that is a commendable purpose. She is good. I am good. YOU ARE GOOD. You are worthy of love, joy, peace, abundance and fellowship with all of life and humanity. ❤ My spirit hugs your inner spirit, because we're both here, showing up! 😊

Such a great interview. Thank you both for taking the time to share this with us. I watch a lot of these types of videos and listen to podcasts, often while on the treadmill or getting some work done. I had never thought to take notes to really retain the information. I'm happy to share that this is the first interview where I took a bunch of notes down. Here are some of my favorite quotes that Jim mentioned: “If you do the hard things in life, life becomes easy.” “When you teach something, you get to learn it twice.” “You learn to earn to return.”

Totally been relating to the “being good at remembering names”. I said I was bad at names for a long time. I eventually figured out I used that statement as an excuse to be lazy. Something to make me feel better about failing. Now I write down names as I meet people. Remembering a name and addressing people as so is very powerful with persuasion.

You were probably thinking of when you were a child. When other kids would make fun of you saying Eddie 🍝 because I surely did. Learning as a kid. I thought about when other kids would call me "Pacer" and at a younger age "hyper diaper Man" or at an older age "dirty Den" it was in humor and tasting but it made my skin thick and made me into a determined kid. And it turned full circle. There are so many great nuggets in this video. #Maxout #Dennisrepetition

Most parents blab uselessness to their children, not knowing the affect it will have on them for years to come. Your external dialog can become your children's internal dialog, wether that dialog is positive or negative. He said top 10 smartest ! I do know for a fact if you teach a baby 3 even 4 languages they learn fast and are very smart. Having worked at a well known Hospital in pediatrics also I know for a fact talking to baby’s like adults not like baby’s helps learning ! It’s all very true I did an experiment and it worked ! Love this interview epic ! My older son Eddie came in and said his name and said I listen to him 😀 ! Absolutely on point ! He also says stuff you already said to us ! I love your content and I KNOW that you are gifting many of us with better tools to deal with life. I have listened to Jim Kwik on several occasions, but today for some reason, I felt more connected to what he said. I took so many things from this, for one, I am going to go back to daily Journal. I'm a huge acronym fan. They help me remember and apply strategy to life. Love that Jim used Max Out. so cool. My biggest takeaway was the Max Out Acronym. Try to ty a name to each one of the letters in Max Out and you'll have a better chance at applying this lesson. Motivation (Bill Clinton story) Accountability (Elon Must Story) Xrcise (as our body moves your brain grooves) Observation (the life you live is the lessons you teach) Use (Remember names by using it a few times) Teach (learn something to teach it)

I went for years of therapy and nothing helped, except one sentence that RANDOMLY came up. It was as following: "Fake it till' you make it" at first I was incredibly confused, because I had no idea it was an actual fact- but rather a simple saying. However the truth is that by telling yourself you do this, or that- You do actually become it. As he said in the video, programming is key. This has actually helped me through major depression and trauma. It's incredible how powerful the sentences we tell ourselves is.

💥💥🔑. there were So many takeaways greatness the ability to know yourself and permission to be yourself.. I could go on in short it sparked a different perspective of not only looking at myself in the bigger picture allowing significant others be themself helping them discover their true self... My personal operating window is three seconds . How is this possible that I’m now seeing what I learned in middle school. There was a similar speaker that came into our school for a month we all worked On everything in this video . I guess it was about the time I discovered being labeled was an informality. it was not who I am or who you thought I was ... at this age who really knows . I did and the resistance was for real when I discovered what I Truly knew I needed to do and be it was shut down not met with encouragement ... I learned not to be myself , I learned to be what ever anyone thought I was and was lost in the processes of self discovery . Today I feel blessed to have come across a hand full of people who have enlightened my life in many ways . Thank you for always leveling up on the ways to maxout life . Have a blessed day

Jim I just saw your interview here with Ed Mylett and was mesmerized which doesn't happen much these days I have been around the block many-many times. Not that I'm not open minded and always looking to scale my game, but in your space that just doesn't present itself very often. Typically someone is simply out selling kool-aid and not truly making a profound impact on one's life. Jim your work and in particular with regard to the efficient use of time through 'speed reading' and expanding your context and content of learning through recognition that 'we are smarter than we think we are' is invaluable to the bottom line of every Corporate 500 organization.
