To be fair I commend that teacher for achieving her B in maths at 27. Might not seem like much but the fact to even try at 27 and redo that GCSE rather than not caring and moving on which is what most people would do is very impressive.

I feel really sorry for Kalid: I am guessing parents a victim of the gig economy, unstable work and moving from house to house on short term rentals. That is really depressing and shows how poverty fucks up kids' life chances . That is one kid I would really go the extra mile for.

I went to the worst primary school in my area (like it was the worst rated in the paper and everything) I had 7 people in my year 6 class and they didn’t know what to do with us so they took us on trips and even tho it was a shit school I still learned my times tables! absolutely loved this episode! heres my speech abt them. with benjy i think he is very very funny, hes very extroverted, he talks ALOT and hes very gobby, but hes that type of friend that i would love to have. he just looks so caring and watching him struggle with his maths is hard for me, because he genuinely looks like he’s trying i mean at 11:12 you can tell he was upset because of the way his face looked, he was clearly trying and i mean the comedy he comes out with is just so funny i mean how can you not laugh at him? but honestly i hope he got far in life because he derserves it. with khalid, i think hes very loving and very cute, he seems to just struggle to get up on a morning and he struggles with his times tables alot and he just needs to work on it, i loved when him and mr lo celso were vibing to the music it made me smile tbh and the way khalid talks to everyone is just so nice, hes so polite and friendly and i wish him the best honestly.

In Scotland they teach us 2x and 10x tables in P2 and 3x 4x 5x 6x in P3 then 7x 8x 9x 11x 12x so that by P4 we can start doing more diverse work if you what i mean. But I’m still that bitch who has to use the 6x table then double for 12x even tho I’m in secondary school now lol

Hennessy is def a dedicated teacher. Seems like he should’ve tried a different way of teaching the multiplication tables though. Some students have different ways of learning them for sure. The way the numbers looked on paper helped me when I was learning them and the relation between numbers etc.
