Griegs best melodies are up there with Tchaikovsky, Bach Beethoven and Mozart. He deserves to be ranked among them.

I heard Peer Gynt at school in the 4th grade. I loved it. I told my mother about it and she surprised me with an LP. Because of that I learned to love classical music and have enjoyed it all my life. Thanks, Mom.

I also heard this music at school. I was 11 years old and my first introduction to classical music. I loved it then and love it still. I’m 78 years old. This music takes me back to my classroom.

I haven't heard Grieg since I was a little girl, maybe 3 yrs old. I used to tip over the dog basket and dance to The Hall of the Mountain King, dancing faster and faster. I just loved that music. I haven't heard of some of these pieces and they are all beautiful. Such a gifted composer and musician. xxxx

Пер Гюнт Эдварда Грига настолько прекрасен, что зрительно видишь все события этого изумительного произведения. Горное утро...Пещеры и фьерды Норвегии...Восточные страны. А песня Сольвейг- самая лирическая и нежная и бесконечно возвышенная- это идеально.

@@zali7596 It's a pretty nice place. Grew up 5 minutes from his home myself, so seen where he wrote his music and what nature he took inspiration from. If you find it that interesting, definitely take the trip to Bergen and see Troldhaugen.

Первая просто отвал башки, да и вторая тоже. Но первая... Не зная названия композиции, и услышав её впервые, я сразу представлял себе утро, ранее солнце, своими лучами освещающее утреннюю природу, своим ярким, но мягким светом, освещающее всю лесную зелень, и зелёную травку, и веточки, и листики всех кустов и деревьев, и золотые поля под голубым, синим безоблачным небом, и воду в ручейках и больших реках, всю оживающую после ночного сна природу. Шедевр классической музыки.

Edward Grieg was born in the city of Bergen, in the family of the British consul, Alexander Grieg, and a professional pianist, graduate from the Hamburg Conservatory, Gesina Hagerup. In the autumn of 1858, Edvard Grieg, then only 15 years old, went to the Leipzig Conservatory to study music. The same extent as Brahms, perhaps undeservedly and unfairly, is unpopular with Russian musicians and the Russian public, Grieg managed to win the hearts of Russians once and for all. Эдвард Григ родился в городе Берген, в семье британского консула, Александра Грига, и профессиональной пианистки, выпускницы Гамбургской консерватории, Гесины Хагеруп. Осенью 1858г, Эдвард Григ, тогда еще 15-летний мальчишка едет учиться музыке в Лейпцигскую консерваторию. Насколько Иоганнес Брамс, быть может незаслуженно и несправедливо, нелюбим среди русских музыкантов, настолько же Эдвард Григ сумел сразу и навсегда завоевать себе русские сердца.

Эдвард Григ , без сомнений , гениальный норвежский композитор . В его музыке звучат древние сказания , сказки , народная музыка , а порой в ней слышна музыка и мелодия небесных сфер , и широкая панорама морского горизонта со скалами и глубокими фьордами . Всё это позволяет видеть Природу в трёх измерениях . Мечтаю побывать в Норвегии , всё увидеть своими глазами и услышать музыку небесных сфер и океана . Петербуржец ., Сергей Виноградов .

Eine fantastische, wunderschöne Musikkpmposizionen. Manche kenne ich vom Hören, eussteich nicht, ceem sie zuzuordnen sind! Ha, aber dank KZfaq, und dank den allen Lieben Musikhoerern weiss ich welchem Kompoziteur sie zuzuordnen sind! Diese Kompositionen hatte ich vielleicht dem Tchaikovsky zugeordnet, aber nein, das ist der nicht! Besten Dank fürs Upload! Aber ach tausend dank für das Orchestra und andere Mit wirkende beim Musikwiedergeben! 👍🌹🎶🎵
