What an insightful interview seeing Eddie from such a different perspective. Daniel, your questions were thoughtful and thought provoking, capturing the different layers of the person you were interviewing. I loved how you circled back the conversation to get deeper into a previous comment/thought from Eddie. Great interviewing skill. Thank you both! 🌸🩷

So true. This is my first time I saw Edward talking about his dads. I know everyone has a serious side, but I never thought Edward would be willing to show it on social media. I guess Daniel really made him comfortable.

I subscribed to Eddie before he started having kpop stuff on his channel. Him suddenly inviting idols/getting into kpop was a pleasant surprise. But ultimately the content I like the most is when he does his own thing. I think he downplays the magnetism of his personality. Could care less if he never invites another idol on his channel again. I just like how open & chatty he is with talking to viewers. It’s like he has a vague sense of a filter but it doesn’t stop him from saying what he wants.

I love watching edward’s collabs with kpop groups. He always makes them feel comfortable, makes them laugh and show a more relaxed side to them. Rather than having to be very careful of what they say or how they act. The first kpop video I watched was the VAV halloween one and since then I’ve stanned VAV. So huge thank you to edward for always being himself, making the atmosphere relaxed and fun, and for getting people in to different kpop groups 🩵

I've followed Edward for years and I find it fascinating how resistant he is to getting too vulnerable. It reminds me of myself. I really admire his lack of overthinking in the career aspect, I'm about to quit my job as an self employed artist because I can't handle agonizing over the future anymore even though I make enough money to be comfortable. The story about your dad was also fascinating. As someone whose dad sucked and never received any affection, I strangely prefer that to the alternative of having that love and then it disappearing. I like seeing your interest in psychology shine through in the questions you ask, this was a great video and I'll keep my eye out for more.

Wow, I just saw Edward in a different light and I actually have a full timeline and basically a family tree explained. like I knew his family but I didn’t understand his dynamics with his stepfather how long he’s been with his stepfather or how long he was working in Korea. It was nice to have this interview be a thing. like I am very grateful for Daniel and this opportunity and all of the questions that Daniel asked, I’m not familiar with him. It seems like this is his debut but I am happy I was here. I’m happy that Edward did this, and that it was shared.

I came away from this podcast feeling warm and connected. I was very impressed by the depth of Daniel’s questions and his own vulnerability and authenticity. I was touched by Edward’s openness, humor and kindness. The fact that he was so helpful to Daniel with equipment and advice made me feel such respect and admiration for him. This was an excellent exchange. Edward, you are brand new to me. There’s a sweetness and vulnerability that comes through in you despite your boisterous humor and hilarity. Thank you both for this surprisingly moving interview.

Daniel, I really like how you were able to comfortably use questions to draw out the answers in several different times of the interview. Edward always seemed to me to be very protective of his feelings. Like not getting into a relationship, it was easier to self-sabotage because of fear of failure, is how I interpreted it. I really heard him on a way different level, like really getting to know who Edward is. Following him for a while and now getting to know him on a personal level, makes me respect him that much more. Also hearing a part of your personal story, took a lot of courage. Thank you, Daniel, for having such an amazing guest. Congrats on this new journey. Wish well & can't wait to see more.

I can listen to Edward for a couple of hours because he's just that entertaining (I'm questioning if he's a Gemini!) but Daniel led the interview really well :) I think the UK podcaster he talked about is Steven Bartlett from The Diary of a CEO, am I wrong? - he just gave me that vibe, especially with the last part of the interview. Great job! :) Great interview and you can see why Edward is so popular because I could relate to many things of what he said!

This just got recommended to me and listened to this in the background while gaming hah. I've watched Edward's content probably on and off from the end of middle school throughout high school, but only kept up with him as I'm in college right now. It was touching to hear his answer about his funeral and having a subscriber read his eulogy. Hope to meet him someday. I'm in the crowd that doesn't wear makeup but keeps watching due to his humor, personality, and interactions with the other person/people. It was nice hearing more of his story.

Loved that conversation! I feel like I learned a lot so thank you sharing it with the world :) When you get more experiened with your podcast please consider getting your Dad to be a guest on the show. You don't even have to upload that episode if it gets way to personal but I think it would be very valuable for the two of you. Also since it would be a conversation between two adult men your Dad might get to see you from a diffrent side than befor. It would probably give him a lot to think about.

This was so worth putting the time aside for! It just kept getting more and more interesting as it went on. Daniel you are super good at this, your questions were so insightful and on point every time. Honestly, I could totally relate to Edward when he talked about why he has 'pre-walked' all the negative scenarios inside his own head - I tend to do that a bit too, and for me I like it because people can only blind-side you and hurt you if you didn't see it coming! Once I have a good big-picture feel for a person and a situation, I can relax and go with the flow because I feel more confident that I won't get surprised (in a bad way). And that leaves all that space for people to surprise me in a really positive way, which is a great way to make your day 🥰 That made a lot of sense to me! Thank you Daniel! I hope you make more content similar to this, it was super interesting and even though I kept getting interrupted I just kept coming back to it (which is rare, for me 😂).

59:18 I agree, I literally saw at a restaurant these parents with their 4 year old child sitting on the table and not even trying to converse with their child on their free time, the child was literally on TikTok scrolling and HE’S 4 YEARS OLD don’t you as parent would be worried about what your child is consuming? And not even trying to build a relationship with their child like I’m scared of what’s to come out from the future generations.

For my taste the questions and topics revolving around childhood are a bit to serious and overused. I feel like you can make it more entertaining by adding more unusual questions and so show your personalety a little bit more and also answer more questions so it does not feel so much like an interview. I liked the setting, sound and camera footage. Keep going :)
