Bonjour Edward.Plus je regarde cette vidéo et plus je me dis que ce jour là tu as su assurer grave comme un véritable petit maestro,car j'ai toujours autant de plaisir à écouter et regarder cette vidéo si formidable.Il n'y a vraiment rien à dire tu étais déjà un grand chef à cette époque là.Bravo pour cette si belle représentation et un énorme merci pour tout le courage qu'il t'a fallu.De la part d'un grand fan qui pense toujours à toi et qui aimerait tellement pouvoir te revoir un jour.

A moi aussi il me manque !! j ai trouvé 3 retransmissions et une4e ou chaque membre de sa famille se produit Ce sont tous de magnifiques musiciens qui menent une carrière internationale Lui même est violoniste ( soliste au bout d un an) à été aux usa et démarre une carriere internationnale comme violoniste comme son père et chef Il a 16 ans

I don't know how the flexible tempi, the balances, the phrasing, or the rehearsals were manifested, but I consider this performance one of the very best. This potboiler has been dismissed by many elites, yet many great conductors have recorded it. I have listened to most. The masters of the 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s tended to be brisk and dramatic, with timings 1 to 2 minutes less than many of the sluggish, lackluster performances after 1960. This kid strikes me as a throwback, providing momentum, verve, and excitement. Whether he is a "puppet" or not, many present day conductors would benefit by emulating his inspirational style.

great music, and not easy to conduct (Liszt never is). The transitions are convincing, so I tink they are following him.

You said it so correctly. The verve, the momentum and pure excitement all manifested in this play. He's so symmetric in his moves that no conductor could replicate. He's hand and body moves are so fluid and so alert as he never dropped his arms thru the whole 17 minutes of play.

This is one of favorite pieces. I have heard many readings and own several on disc. In my opinion this is the VERY best. The audio and video is excellent. I am not sure but I think this excellent performance is the product of a GREAT budding conductor, a first-class orchestra, and excellent audio engineering. Some have opined that the orchestra is not even watching the conductor. Several years ago I had a social conversation with the concertmaster of the Milwauke Symphonie and asked him about that. He smiled and responded that most of us have developed the ability to watch both at the same time.

musicians have to look at their score, while they see the conductor movements with the angle of the eye. This version is not so good and audio recording is awful. I suggest you to listen the version of the Minnesota Orchestra conducted by Eiji Owe and recorded on Reference Recording label

В оркестре сидят профессионалы и дирижерская палочка для них указующий перст куда играть и как играть (нотный текст не всегда достаточен) - дирижер путеводная звезда... Пусть смеются незнающие сути дирижера, но факт остается фактом: - дирижер делает оркестр оркестром, а не оркестр делает дирижера... :) Это феномен - Эдвард Юденич. (Надо же, и фамилия какая известная в России, хоть мальчик живет в Ташкенте - пюпитры ещё советские... жаль!)

He looks promising, but there is very little listed about him on the web, and this was posted two years ago. He's not conducting from music, only memory.

Correct. That's the incredible part about this little guy. He memorized the whole 90 pages of musical notes and knew his score-sheet precisely, so he didn't miss a single beat.
