Eendekuil loosely translated means a “duck pond or dam”. This small Cape West Coast town was the terminus of the Cape Town railway at the end of the Anglo-Boer war
Eendekuil is visible as you descend from the Piekenierskloof pass. The town is surrounded by canola fields that cover the area in a bright yellow carpet when in bloom.
Make a quick stop at Eendekuil on your way to Citrusdal. (or on the way back)
