Jack Dalton went too soon , he is one of the very few villains Phil couldn't take on his own . They should of got rid of Andy Hunter instead and have Jack square off against Johnny Allen
@Darskul3 жыл бұрын
Well, it's weird because... Andy literally only took over after Jack died. Which means he had the same amount of power Jack had, which means Johnny Allen was a station above even Jack. Weird how Phil felt Jack was a bigger threat then Johnny then, maybe Jack was just more efficient?
@TheRobo19973 жыл бұрын
@@Darskul not true , andy was a weaker leader and alot of the firm turned against Andy therefore he was less influenceable than Jack
@1977Suspiria3 жыл бұрын
@@Darskul As the comment above stated, Andy was not up to the job, if you think of it in mafia terms Andy was like a 'consigliere' to Jack, he was a good advisor & more level-headed man on the street for Jack but he was not a man to step into the shoes of a ruthless violent crime boss, he was not able to earn the respect of the gang & they didn't fear overthrowing him so that's what they did. Jack was an active crime boss that this time & had a crew, when Johnny came to the square he had no crew & was looking to retire from all that. Jack was definitely more intimidating & psychotic than Johnny, it totally makes sense to me Phil was more fearful of him.
@gravy180rs2 жыл бұрын
@@Darskul I think there’s a few reasons why Phil feared Jack more than Johnny 1) It is heavily implied that Phil had worked for or at least been associated with Jack in the past. He obviously knew just what Jack was capable of and the depths he’d stoop too. Jack was a sadistic, cruel man who couldn’t be trusted - he even had absolutely no qualms in ordering Dennis’ death and it was openly stated that Jack considered Dennis to be the son he’d never had. Phil probably knew that all it would take is one slip up or mistake and he’d be a dead man 2) When Johnny came to Albert square he wasn’t actively involved in the gangster lifestyle anymore, he openly stated he was retiring from it and trying to be a better father figure for his daughter. Phil probably saw that Johnny wasn’t the man he once was. With regards to Andy being at his power level while technically yeah that’s true in terms of his position as the boss of The Firm after Jacks death, he obviously wasn’t capable of commanding the respect or fear from the people who worked for him like Jack did. He just wasn’t as hard or as cruel hearted a man as Jack and this led to his crew deeming him as being too soft.
@Uksoapfan2 жыл бұрын
@@gravy180rs Phil said himself just how evil and dangerous Dalton was. He told Alfie and Spencer to ask Minty to show him the scars he got off Jack once. Phil said "And Minty is a big bloke" implying he got bested by Jack. Phil said Jack was bombproof and he to Jack's henchman George that he knew Jack would have him cut in half but Phil had the bottle to face him. Phil understandably schmoozed round Jack, as he knew Jack would be Phil's worst ever enemy if he dissed him.
