Just because its old doesnt mean it worse, also dcs has been geting a bit off track with reality, the tomact B version is more maneuverable then the eurofighter, at 9gs the tomcat pulls 23.0deg/s degrees max flying at 450kmots the eurofighter at 9gs flying same speed has a max turn rate of 22.7deg/s

This reminds me of a electronics warfare plane during the Gulf War, that was unarmed but it got a recorded kill by causing the Iraqi fighter to crash into a hill.

Then again I am not very good at raté fight but I rocks peoples world when I bring them on the edge of the flight envelope. But it doesn’t always work with people who know how to manage energy in the vertical or are patient enough. Plus your method of rating him keeps you safer from an eventual number 2 bandit

If the bandit is locked in your six o’clock, get into the clouds and stay there for about 30 seconds. He will loose you just like you will loose him. So long as the ground is not a factor, the clouds can be your best counter measure from a gun kill.

Sorry growling but I have a question, is the Eurofighter still a mod or is it an official dcs fighter, because if I'm not mistaken it has instant 30 degrees per second and sustained 20 degrees per second, plus the f 14 isn't it slightly overpowered?

In WWII attack aircraft have guns pointed at the back controlled by a rear gunner. It maybe not that so effective for the attack aircraft like the Avenger or TBM is quite slow. Why cant they put a Helmet Activated mini gun at the back on today's attack aircraft or fighters to defend against incoming missiles or to shoot at bogeys at 6' o clock. In this setup, the Rio's seat should be able to face at the back to have a more effective defensive or offensive maneuvers. General Kenny in WWII done that on their B-25 light bombers by installing 10 .50cal machine guns pointed down ward on the bomb bay instead of bombs. It created a very very fearsome reputation against japanese troops on the ground than the bombs it usually carried.
