A day before President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to table the Presidency's budget vote, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have vowed to make their presence felt. Various opposition parties are calling on the President to step aside pending the investigation into theft at his farm in Limpopo in 2020. Criminal charges against the President were laid by former Spy Boss Arthur Fraser, and since then there have been mounting calls for Ramaphosa to take a leave of absence. We explore this issue further with EFF Deputy President Floyd Shivambu.

When Julius has ambitions of becoming a President of South Africa, he will first entrench himself to the EFF as it's life president because EFF is his ticket to ascend to the highest office. Thereafter he will make sure that he takes advantage of a weakened and factional ANC by destabilising it's leadership. The irony here is that Ramaphosa is the problem of the ANC and not the EFF's. If the ANC closes ranks on its President as is the practise, Julius and it's EFF will be exposed. Ramaphosa has not been preferred charges yet, unlike Zuma, and their hastiness on this matters smacks opportunism and populist tendencies. Theirs now is to divert attention away from their own decay and position themselves as the alternative to ANC. EFF must sort out their own scandals as they are far from being better than the ANC. Their 7 cardinal pillars are now forgotten or as we see it are fundamentally about Ramaphosa.!!
