I beg to differ from South Africa Political Bantering. I must admit Mr. Malema. I have listened to you carefully and I can see, you are indeed a very shrewd and competent politician. Mpho was on the ropes throughout the whole interview. Shame. I will take him more seriously from today. South African Political Bantering - remember that every time you speak (even when you are speaking about someone else) you are presenting the world your character, your intellect and your values. Need I say anymore? People watch this guy, he is going places.

Malema makes a good point about waiters, pump attendants, and domestic workers etc. spending so much on transport that they end up with very little money to survive on. But, if these wages are increased, it will become unaffordable for restaurants, homes, and so on, to keep the present number of staff, with the result that many will lose their jobs. Surely the answer is to address the high transport costs????

As a white South African, i open my arms to all fellow South Africans, BLACK and WHITE. This anger everyone has achieves NOTHING. I ask all my South African brothers, lets stop seeing each other black or what but as a South African family that Mandela wanted us to be.

If only white South African can stop pretending and start living everything would be fine, the truth of the matter they are ruthless and would do anything to stay in power but the sad reality is that the black persons mind in no longer brainwashed he see right through them. if they can respect and realize that a black person is human we could get along just fine. until that day we africans will fight till our last breath
@cdts20
@cdts20 10 жыл бұрын
Anathi Soji you are deluded. You say the black persons mind is no longer brainwashed.......so how exactly do you think the ANC stays in power??? As ive clearly said above, i think everyone is all equal. Sadly YOU dont. You are the product of a racist problem that has taken over south africa. You insult, attack, destroy, undermine and disrespect every ideal that Mandela fought. Here you are calling me 'ruthless' - what for may i ask? Because i called you my brother? If anyone is ruthless its the EFF and the ANC - if you had ANY intelligence about you, you would ask yourself why has Zuma spent millions of Rands on HIMSELF when there are starving people in south africa.........let me guess your gonna blame the whites for that now are you? almost 30 years the ANC has been in power and youre still no better off. Use your vote wisely tomorrow.

VisualSimulator sadly, in neither era did the Bantu population recieve a proper education. I blame Verwoerd for this fuckup. Even with the rhetoric of separate development and building strong, independent black nations who would leave south africa, why in the hell was the Bantu Education Act enforced? I just wish the rhetoric was truthful from the beginning, it wasn't until the vorster/botha years was such a pointless law repealed.

I'm really horrified by the comments made here!! From all backgrounds. When the Rainbow national started in 1994 I was 13 years old. On THAT day I (white) was playing with my friend Thabo (black). Today he's a Neurosurgeon (he got a scholarship because was black). I wanted to study as well but my Parents didn't have sufficient funds and because I was white; I was told that preference was given to non white prospective students. Today, even after that day, Thebo and I are still close friends. He drives an BMW X6 and the premium on the car, in relation to my salary would be shocking. I had to struggle and study to obtain each promotion, sometimes applying up to 10 times for a position but it was declined because it usually was a EE position. I didn't even now what apartheid was at 1994. I continually see an "us" / "them". We are all ONE. ONE South Africa. The recent video Invictus showed me what A great man looks like. I saw what he had to endure and came out of prison and love ALL South Africans as ONE. There would only be one like him; he really was the Father of the Nation. Sad thing is the way things are going in the Country, it was all for NOTHING. What he tried to unite is tearing apart and would only be know for a name and that he helped put aside apartheid. BUT he won't be remember for was he stood, i.e. equality. Now there's a Country where everyone is blaming everyone else. To say that all whites are bad is untrue. The same for blacks, Indians, Asians, etc. Another friends of mine (black) was raped by three black men? She hates black men now. Another story is a black man poured a kettle full of warm water down a neighbor of ours throat. She was 79. This one amongst a few stories that's in a radius of 15km of where I live. I was sad the other day when i tried to ask a young black guy (about 16) directions when he told me that I'm white so why do i ask a black man for directions. I'm rich because I'm white. He said something about apartheid while he was walking away. It took me a while to wrap my head around that and thought that his parents were quite young when apartheid was not longer. So given the small amount of examples above I have seen death by the hands of blacks (note that the only took the R20 inside the wallet when they killed the lady), seen a devastated friend of mine raped, etc. Do i hate all non-whites? No. Why? As not all non-whites are the same (bad). I've been to a black traditional wedding, by invitation. I was asked to fast with a Muslim friend of mine and did... Apartheid is long gone so why still blame everything on it. Can't WE leave our hatred in the past and move together to a better unified Country?

You better go and read on racism before labelling people as such. The only known Social Darwinists in the world are whites. The ones who hold strong a belief that they are a SUPERIOR race above others. Current and historical evidence is there for those who are not ignorant like you. Like it has been said by others above....colonisation, subjugation of natives, mass slavery murders, rapes, etc.....have a common denominator.....and that is Whites! So you cant be a racist by just mentioning "white" or "black"....it is all about that superiority complex over other races that makes one racist. And to date.....only Whites have been doing that! So if your friend is a "ja bass" pet, it does not mean we all are! Or by the way that expertation that we should be subserviant to whites is always the to you and your ilk. This is our country, always has been, and the likes of Malema are right in fighting for it to go back to its owners. If you are not happy, Europe is there....your ancestral home.....Gooooooo

I am a white male in South Africa. I can sympathise with the past and I try to help my friends to engage in a new mind set of equality and tolerance. We must not be hostile towards one another. Malema has the right to make radical proposals and it is only natural that many will agree with him. But surely (and I am addressing this question to EFF supporters) taking land without compensation is a step in the wrong direction? Compensation is an absolute necessity, otherwise it is ethically unjustifiable, just as was the case when the land was initially taken.

On the point of payment structures; Mr Malema states that the unions have done the research and found that the figures expected by the workers are practically achievable and "sustainable", I put it to you that it is not. I have three university degrees, a sport science degree, a post graduate degree in sport science and a teaching degree and the highest paying position I could get after completing my qualifications was at R 13 000 and that was before tax. This now brings me to the following question, how can a mine worker or other uneducated labarours expect to earn more money than a person who has been educated. it does not make sense from a business or economic stand point. Statements like: "The white people must share and give away what they have or they will cry" are not only threatening, but also unfair. I have worked hard for the little I have as has every other South African, black, white, pink, purple, it doesn't matter. It is a difficult world out there. Nothing comes easily and expecting the wealthy few to pay for the poor majority is not only unsustainable, dangerous and unfair but it is also unconstitutional. Taking land from people who have paid for it without fairly compensating them at market prices is not redistribution of wealth, it is theft. It will threaten food security, jobs and national stability. Don't believe me? look at the potato farm that was handed back to a community in KZN. It was one of the largest potato farms in Southern Africa and was running at a substantial profit. The contracts, equipment and land was transfered to the comunity. The original owners even stayed on for a period of 6 months to help educate the comunity with regards to the running of the buisiness. The Natal Witness returned to the farm 5 years later to do a followup piece on the progress of the farm. Keep in mind that this was a commercial farm that was turning more than a Million in profit each year. The journalist writing the artical found that the farm had fallen into ruin to such an extent that not even the Barns that housed the tractors and other equipment survived. Everything had been stripped and sold or used to build shaks. What will we eat if this happens to all the farm as Mr Malema and the EFF as proposes? Has Mr Malema and the EFF learnt nothing from the collapse of Zimbabwe?

An American style capitalism system is bound to fail in South Africa. Especially when the haves are predominately white and the have nots are predominately black. Such an arrangement only serves to create a racial schism. . The racial inequality in South Africa is largely attributable to its apartheid and colonial history… A radical land reform programme is inevitable; the only question is, whether it’s going to be a violent or peaceful one? Educated or not Malema’s argument is very valid.
@TheoLubbe
@TheoLubbe 10 жыл бұрын
If I'm not mistaken, the haves are actually predominantly black. To my knowledge the middle-class is dominated by the black community here. It's only the upper class which is dominated by whites. Of course, one could argue the ratio of each race which is in a position of economic empowerment, but the sad reality is that there are countless people living in poverty in this country who are quite literally having as many children as possible to get more money from the government from child-support grants, and this is a problem which is increasing in severity exponentially. This is occurring among all the racial groups in the country, but with the black community being the largest and the amount of poor blacks thus being the greatest, the issue is most easily seen among them.

math is fun, do yourself a favor, take all the money the black middle class has right? and then compare that to how much money the white upper class has. now see that number? yeah you see it? pretty freaking rediculous isn't it? I think that's your problem right there. Not a single one of them got that shyt with 'hard-work' but hard 'EXPLOITATION' ....BUT.....such is the way of Capitalism. So long as its 'fair' its green light. Your problem is right; freaking there. Stop using European cultural ideology to run a soceity that has existed FOR CENTURIES WITHOUT NEEDING IT. doesn't need it today; it just needs a proper fiancial re-allocation, you know, getting to use its own resources for itself.

Africans must demonstrate that they can exude work ethics, where people take responsibilities for their actions in the state craft. I suggest that EFF members should organize themselves into collective corporations (firms) and collective firms that are capable of running the farms and firms that will soon have to be available to them, however that will be, today, and right now, yesterday. The EFF must include all South Africans, because all whites and the Gordans are not necessarily colonialist. The state capture is a shame for black leadership. lol.

I have Black brothers and sisters, and I have White brothers and sisters, and we believe that we are family because we share the same biological parent (God). What ever race, culture, or birth place we are brothers and sisters. Look at the first person you may lay eyes on, that is your brother, or sister, or mother, or father. No matter their colour, you should treat them with the same love you would give any member of your family. We are made with love, so why hate when it is your nature to love. I am glad God made us Black and White (the rainbow nation), because these colours are beautiful. So why hate this beautiful neo-classical picture, when we can embrace the art (different cultures around the world) made by God.

There are so many intricate issues that that Malema is overlooking in his plans, No company can guarantee they will hit a set turnover, so how can the EFF expect to force businesses to increase salaries . Strategically, It would be more beneficial for a business owner to shut down his farming or manufacturing. company to alleviate staffing issues, and rather just import goods for re-sale in our market. However, considering how Zim's currency lost value when they adopted these policies.....South Africans can probably expect to pay 10 fold the value of an item if the EFF wins the election. I believe that Zim' currency went crazy from 2006-2008. And all these comments about free education, or not paying your tertiary fees is crazy.....which lecturer and educational institution is going to work for free?? Everything costs...more so for quality education. Its unfortunate that some mine workers, laborers and farm workers are without knowledge of business and the economics of a country. They are being led to believe the empty promises. A politicians words can cripple our economy with 1 word on television, and it could decades to repair. Decades of national poverty and suffering. An example of stupidity...The ANC is already passing legislation to regulate imported goods so they comply with SABS or IEC standards, However, the SA does not even have test facilities. It seems the national Regulator wont even accept European TUV or EN standards on imported goods. Now you either pay a crazy price for an item or the importer will just stop bringing it in cos its too much of a hassle to retest products just for SA. If we don't find great leaders soon...we are in deep trouble. God Help Us.

The reality is that until money creation is left in the hands of the bankers and not returned to the market (the people who make up that market), then you have not achieved economic emancipation. Simple because the bankers will continue to amass control of the factors of production through the power of money creation (fractional reserve banking). so Maleman, comrade you really need to state your position on fractional reserve banking. So I can decide whether to give you a vote? Right now non of you have pronounce your position on robbing children of their pocket money.

You will not tell me to learn my place. I am not a guest in my country. I was born here, and so were generations of my family before me. Hatred is bad for society, end of story. Racial based hatred is something we should have cast aside centuries ago. My place is here, in the only country I know, and I will not be told to keep quiet so that a group can be oppressed. It is you who needs to self reflect. Europeans are no different than other races when it comes to blood thirst. Read a little of Shaka and Dingaan amongst a host of others. At the end of the day, hatred does no good for anybody.

Zane Wright Any time Africans have EVER gone on to fight when you break it down to the common denominator of where the first domino was knocked over it begins with the European ---or your knock off-version the Arab. ALL OF AFRICA'S PROBLEMS dealing with overt conflict and war started when people showed up who EXPLOITED our hospitality and began to try to seize our natural resources---or our people. period. If we were any other way; we would have developed a culture predicated off of war and conflict; and NOWHERE in Africa will you see this. Most empires we established that had a military at all was because Arabs or Europeans posed as a threat, and we needed a means of protecting our people. We also had groups of people who would sympathize with the invaders and behave in such a way that would threaten the wellbeing of our people. You are a damn guest---AT BEST. the same way the european in north amarica is an INVADER; and guest at best. The same with the spaniard in south America----, The Arab in Egypt (asshats have the damn nerve to rename it the Arab Republic of Egypt.) I could go on. Africans have never acted out of HATRED; but out of JUSTICE. You never upheld the laws of Maat; if you are the unique snowflake with good intentions; you need to once more; understand your place and position as a freaking guest---Invader. Have a nice day.
@TheGlingfram

You are wrong. How far back must we take the invader thing? Are Zulus also guests in this country for example? Do you extend that to the Indians, chinese etc. who might have been brought here against their will? But under a different point - how far back must we ALL take accountability? I'm not saying the slate must be wiped clean and everyone pretend like nothing happened, but this is my home, I have no home in Europe, I cannot get on a plane and fly 'home' to England or whatever. And while I understand that there were serious injustices in place not even 30 years ago, what are we going to do to make it right? Do we fall into a cycle of revenge? We should instead work on making things fair for all. Right the wrongs of homelands etc. by ensuring those people are compensated by having access to GOOD education and decent sporting fascilities, clean water and electricity, and hopefuly a means by which to afford them. Calling people 'snowflake' and treating a race with such callousness is one way to perpetuate a cycle of misery. In the words of Penn Jillete: "Fuck blacks. Fuck whites. Fuck everybody until there's nothing to be racist about."

this is hilarious. You said I was wrong and produced 0 evidence to state/say otherwise. here I"ll spell this out for you. Your people came to africa for 1 reason. You economically were lacking from where you came from (Europe doesn't have shit.) Africa, however, does---so, between guns bo-guarding and a few traitors; you won out got your spot. Now you want to pretend this never mattered? like somehow the present isnt' connected to the past, and its not going to determine what takes place in the future. You don't see anybody going to Europe, dominating the Social, Economic, and Legal scene and saying "oh its our land"---but its fine for the European to do this to everyone else. lol cycle of hatred? for real? start the entire domino sequence, and then expect everybody else to turn the other cheek. That's that bs your religion keeps shoving on everyone else. There are no more cheeks to turn, and Africans aren't responsible for being the 'better person' and ending conflicts other people began and continue to perpetuate with their sheer presence alone. i'm digressing now. I almost kinda feel bad for you becuase I think you really belive what you're saying. Here I'll give you another cookie becuase I'm feeling Generous today. Africans have been at war with the system of Racism white supremacy since at *least* 1492 ---and with the Arabs who taught them this system since 700 AD ish. “The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.” ― Sun Tzu What we are seeing now is warfare shifting from a formal orthadox sense, to a subtle, cold-war psycological context. The keyword here is Warfare. Lets say you look around the room you're in right now. If you are at peace, that desk you have, is a desk, the keyboard you are typing on? exactly that. The writing utensil; serves just that purpose. However in a state of war, or conflict; these items I just listed, can be utlized as improvised weapons. The war in south africa always has and will be European settler vs Indiginous African---until 1. The European gives up; or the Indiginous African gives up. There is a third highly unlikely option which; really is the European decides to not be european and becomes African, but the system of Racism white supremacy would crumble. (hint: racism only exists in a place where a clear definition of what 'white' can be stablished, since, its the only thing needed to create a racial 'standard'. Marinate on that for a little bit before responding, and look at how this has and is applied world wide, from india, to the united states.) In a nutshell; any and all action, done by individuals who are European, need to and will be viewed as an act of war, be it overt or covert; intentionally or unintentional becuase the African is at war with the European. Sorry to pop this bubble of perfect Utopia, and interupt the dreams of you and a few confused Sambo mufuckers who don't know their history and where they come from or why. I would suggest you start getting with the program and see what you can do to start protecting your own family and friends you care about; becuase acting oblvious wont' save you; if the European powers that have been holding you up down there decide to cut-the-fat so to speak and leave you as as sacrifice. Good luck, and what was said stands; get with the program or gtfo. No there is no equality; and the only way there evil will is when this war ends, and it will only end with the abolishment of Racism White supremacy world wide. Have a nice day.

You quote Sun Tzu. Where does he come from exactly? It shows that you're willing to take with one hand and stab with the other. There will always be a 'white supremecy' as long as there are people like you (personally, not racially) because you tend towards the barbaric, like many people were hundreds of years ago. You mean to tell me there were no wars in Africa before the Europeans got here? All the tribes here were living in harmony. Yes - sharing their resources, not knowing what a war was. Rose coloured spectacles indeed. I'm not for one minute saying 'forget the past'.But I am saying let's fix it. You know how many 'Europeans' endangered their lives to bring about a change in this country? Far less than African's for sure, but many nonetheless You don't see anybody going to Europe because times have changed. They employ the same restrictions that ALL African countries employ. How many countries do you know that have their borders open to any and all?. You're just spouting racial nonsense. "Any and all action". So when Euroope pours aid into Zimbabwe, Ethiopia and Kenya, when NATO intervenes to stop years of civil war, that's expected, but hey, don't let anybody who shares some physical traits with you have a job or a house in our country. It's war man. Well if it is war, and Europe decides to come and get all the people with European traits from Africa, and they stop pouring food and money into the Ethiopians of the world, Would you be prepared to go their way? I'd suspect you'd be eyeing out a place in Europe, like many other Africans. Bet that paragraph was laughable right? Bet it only made you feel contempt. We can all make broad, sweeping statements like you've made, but it just shows ignorance, solves no problems and cultivates a hatred that not everybody shares. I'm confident that the society we have in this country will eventually even out the extremists on both sides. I have no reason to hate people based on race, on the contrary, I want to right the many wrongs done to blacks by some of the people that share some of my physical traits. But by all means, fight your war. let's see which strategy wins out in the end.

Roses Of Time that's about the dumbest thing I've heard ... so you have a lot of African immigrants in Europe. Whats your point? Because you see things from a white point of view. Do those immigrants control any resource in Europe? What is their cumulative wealth? Are they in government? It becomes a whole different scenario when they are a minority and control a majority of the wealth. I'm not a South African .. I'm Kenyan but was never a fan of Mandela because all he did was maintain a status quo ....

To 'Roses of Time': What history books have you been reading? Colonialists came here to colonize. Indigenous people were taught to read the bible and only necessary skills to be better workers for their masters. They were only allowed to be treated in hospitals if they became Christians and handed over their religious and tribal possessions to be burned, destroying much of their culture and alienating them from their own people and land. The Europeans came over and had superior weapons and exploited the people and natural resources of this beautiful continent. Not so different from the Americans who executed native Americans and stole their land in order to exploit it!! And just as the English came to South Africa and acted out horrific war tactics such as the scorched earth... I am not saying that I support any form of violence, but you cannot say that the Americans did not steal land from the Native Americans. You are right, though, the "whites" did make South Africa into what it is, namely a racist divided capitalist nation with unequal distribution of wealth. Apartheid in the racial sense might be coming to an end, but there is still a very clear financial divide, not only here, but all over the world. Capitalism and greed is a large factor in negative growth. Go look at Agenda 21. Consider the fact that 1% of the world's population owns 90% of the world's capital! The people are put into poverty as a new means of slavery and cheap labour. We live in a false state of freedom. we are not free. We are domesticated animals. "only when the power of love overcomes the love of power will the world know peace"
