Hi Sizwe, I'm an EFF member I would like to go through the manifesto but I'm still stuck on Master's dissertation because I have to submit by June this year, as a result I will go through it after June but I know many of the things in that manifesto so I'm surely voting EFF. The only thing I can able to do at the moment is to recruit as many votes as possible for our organization as I've already started with at least 10 new guaranteed votes for the EFF including myself I will be voting for the first time this year.

For me, the apprehension often stems from the belief that attracting investment from the European Union or the United States is crucial. However, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) understand the value inherent to South Africans and, by extension, to Africa itself, which transcends mere financial gain from Western countries. Africa's wealth in natural resources makes it a critical investment destination; it possesses what the West requires, not merely desires. This dynamic underscores that the West is dependent on Africa, not the other way around. Should South Africa lack resources to offer, one wonders if Western investment would persist or if we would be perceived as a nation that has lost its former glory.

Sizwe I was there myself and everything which CIC said resonated with almost everyone in the stadium which is the most important thing for many black African people. I don’t think it would have been a good idea to change the election motto from Land, Jobs NOW and STOP Loadshedding to anything else as that can be easily translated as they are now flip flipping from that stance which would easily look like they are now selling out. I think this consistency is important considering the party constituency which is majority black marginalised and how we are largely negatively affected by these three issues! Also for the EFF to come to KZN and commanded such a crowd was nothing but a master piece to show that it an organisation that is not regional and that Zulu people are not naive and tribalistic as many people have come to think of us Zulu people. BIG UPS EFF ❤ ❤ ❤

@@EO199 Revenue determines spending Sir, the man spoke of increasing revenue so that spending may be feasible. SA has lacked in revenue generation and let alone collection deliberately because it pays some to have a cash trapped customer, you can give him whatever he asks and load whatever condition with it. Just on illicit money flows which he also mentioned that intelligence will be intensified. Plugging holes on the manifesto doesn't help. We just hope they unpack it into an implementation plan with budget, cash flows and time frames.

If you knew the reality of what Gadaffi actually did then you would understand the amount of propaganda that flowed about Gadaffi doing so much for the people when the truth is, he did things to make it look like the citizens were benefiting when they weren't. He had schools and varsities built but the education was the bare basics with most subjects removed and very little in the line of mathematics, science and medicine was taught going into the 80s. 12 years ago students, teachers & lecturers said, "text books were virtually absent and what Gadaffi wanted taught made it clear he wanted to keep the people uneducated....he didn't want people to think." That was confirmed by Khoja, a senior minister in Gadaffi's enclave. Electricity was free when it existed, which was almost never. Healthcare was 100 times worse than we currently have here. Social grants to the unemployed were a pittance and salaries from state owned parastatals were no where near enough for people to live a half decent life. There was no $5000 for mothers after giving birth and there was no $50 000 for newly weds to find a home as the propaganda purported.......If Malema didn't hold good on his promises to donate 200 pairs of shoes to school children as well as wheelchairs to paraplegic children to the fanfare of the media do you really think he'll make good on his manifesto promises? How can one talk about economic emancipation and Marxism in the same breath?.......Malema sounds like that other Clown, Klaus Schwab from the WEF......"You'll own nothing & be happy"..........I want to see Malema tell the Chinese that the State is going to nationalize the mines they own...and believe me, it's plenty.

It should be compulsory for any party presenting a manifesto to submit a funding model that makes sense . Talk is cheap but money buys the whiskey. Promises , promises all we get is promises . When it comes to implementing we need capable people and a lot of money , there is no getting away from this . All promises have implications and parties should consider both positive and negative possibilities. If EWC happens there will be a flight of capital and all will own a piece of land that is worthless. Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day , teach him to fish and you feed him for life .

Underpromise and overdeliver has been my motto , and at 67 I'm am certainly not rich and still work every day to try and put food on the table for my family - no pension , no grants , no handouts , no degree, no free education , no free housing , but I sleep well knowing I have worked for the little I have .

I think my biggest issue with the EFF manifesto and policy stance is that it's too ambitious. Nothing wrong with thinking big but atleast for the first five years you going to have to be pragmatic and pick your battles carefully. Let's say EFF got into government with a 51% majority. Where do they start? EFF promises a spacious 3 bedroom home for everyone. How long will that actually take and what part of the budget are we cutting? You can't promise great roads, free healthcare, free education, free quality housing and a miriad of subsidized state owned industries without cutting corners. If we use China as an example they may have many of the things proposed by EFF but they cut corners. Housing will be poor quality, Rural areas may be neglected in favour of high density cities, they don't have many social programs to help the invisibles of society, they require heavy state crack down to prevent dissent. There are many parties in the world similar to the EFF who end up down the same road. If you have a heavy hand in the economy and social well being of people you also have massive responsibility. Fail to deliver and you quickly need to get rid of democracy or face collapse of the party.

@@babakawaz8225 It's all fine having these ambitious goals but the question comes back to what gets cut and where do you get the money for this? You have to make a hard decision somewhere.

EFF marching forward with a very powerful manifesto. Their call for the reindustrialization of South Africa is noble and necessary cause and their ideology to place education and training at the heart of that is a right approach. My only fear, is that they risk maintaining the status quo of "state dependency" that the ANC forstered over 30 years, to the general detriment of the country. As much as social welfare programmes are important for the general well being of the nation we cannot continue to encourage the culture of social grants, free housing and such. For me, it should really stop at free, quality education. Everything else, once the middle class is properly grown and supported, will take care of itself. That being said, I think EFF resonates the most with me.

Julius Malema is a socialist/communist. He thinks the state can create wealth but nowhere is history has socialism/communism ever worked. The solution in South Africa is to empower entrepreneaurs to build next generation businesses and solve the people's problems through commerce. Government can't solve problems, it only creates them so the goal should be to have limited government that upholds the law and lets the private sector do its thing

Everything said by the EFF sounds good in theory. But if you map it all out then you actually wonder how they'll be able to achieve what they say. Chain effect - Malema becomes President of ZA -> White Businesses sell up assets and leave -> Only the rich black elite who made money through political connections purchase these assets -> Lack of skill leads to failed businesses -> Unemployment increases -> EFF promises free grants up to 4000 rand, now increased applications in grants -> decrease in the upper and middle-class lead to less taxes accumulated which leads to a government in bankruptcy. Not to mention the likely sanctions that hit SA from the WEST because of Malema's radical policies. So no more foreign goods, foreign companies and so on. People need to understand that the amazing South Africa we want, may take another 30 years before we see the seeds blossom. But for the near future, it will be a very very tough time. The Question is, are South Africans ready for it? I wish Malema could be a little more intelligent by playing the game and silently making change. Problem is he is too much of a hot head which will bite him the a**.

Well articulated as always Sizwe, certainly the ANC will be below 50%,MK will get some seats but I believe after the elections cracks will emerge from the MK, infighting could destabilise it. Some joined the MK because they were no longer getting gov contracts and are disgruntled because of Ramaphosa closing the eating tap. EFF IN KZN I think It will not get enough votes and will form coalition or vote with MK,ATM,NFP,ACTION SA.

I am in a total agreement with the EFF on the issue of land restitution. South Africans should distinguish between land redistribution and land restitution. Land restitution is about the return of land that was stollen or taken by force from its rightful owners; this land must be returned fully without compensation and if those who stole the land choose the civil war route as one of the Afrikaner parties is agitating for, then let it be so. Ownership of land, by its very nature, is transferred either through force (war) or it is bought. Now, South Africans should be reminded that Botswana, my country, Lesotho and eSwatini lost large sways of land to the same thieves that every one in SA lost their land to. And, in that respect, they should bear in mind that people in these BLS countries have an axe to grind just like every one who lost his/her land to the colonial settlers.

I don't see how anyone would rationally vote for a party who explicitly says that their aim is to have the state as the owner of the entirety of all land in South Africa. That is a completely bonkers proposal, and possibly goes without saying that it will be ruinous to all, property rights are a cornerstone of democracy. This is one of their cardinal pillars and has been around for a while, though other parties should possibly make it more expressive what a uniquely terrible idea it actually is.

I propose free education can be done by approaching the US, EU, and Chinese in particular for loans. The loans can be paid off by the students by working as interns for US, EU, and Chinese governments at their local company subsidiaries for a stipend of R6000, say for 3 years. A parallel option would be to ask south east asia and south america for study loans, and our students work there for 3 years to pay off the loan.

@@agentmonde1 centralisation doesn’t mean one glove fits all.
