Dear News host, please stop naming Ethiopia as a democratic country, because Ethiopia is not a democratic country instead Ethiopia has ethnic and language based democracy which was implemented and imposed by TPLF right after they overthrew Mengistu Hailemariam in 1991. Based on this constitution, out of the 85 Ethnic groups in the country, 9 ethnic groups received not only land for their own ethnic groups but also they can elect their own ethnic leaders to administer the same ethnic groups. For example, the Tigreans, elected Dr Debretsion as their ethnic leader and this trend of ethnic and language based leadership has been practiced by many ethnic groups in the country with conflicts and bloodshed between each other. Amusingly, this constitution will bring the worst social turmoil in the country because not only the rest of the 74 ethnic groups have been demanding to get their own land for their own ethnic groups but also those who already got land for their own ethnic groups have been fighting and continue to fight for the ethnic boundary lines between each others. The best example of the ethnic boundary war is between the Amhara and the Tigreans, the Tigreans with the Afar and so on. To me, ethnic based grouping system is much more worse than slavery and it is a sources of hate, because slave owners never slaughtered black slaves, but the Tigrean ethnic based army who were with in the national army betrayed and slaughtered the non Tigrean born army members while the army was in deep sleep at the North military command center in Tigray, Ethiopia in 2020. Actually, the National army of Ethiopia was deployed at the North command center in Tigray to protect Tigray from Eritrea. Therefore, Ethnic and language based grouping must be stopped from Ethiopia before it spread and infect other countries. Anyone who is concerned about the turmoil in Ethiopia, please share the above statement of mine with the negotiating team between TPLF and Ethiopian delegation in South Africa. To me without changing this ethnic and language based constitution in Ethiopia, there will be no peace not only in Ethiopia but also in Africa.
