Grab the rack here for free: oversampled.us/products/theone ❤ ⚠KEEP IN MIND: This rack has been made on Ableton Live 11 Suite 11.1.6, so if the rack is not working then make sure your Ableton version is that or higher. It may work on 11 Standard, but I'm not sure as I used a Hybrid Reverb effect in the "stock effects" version. Also unzip the downloaded file and use .adg files.

There's something weird about patcher in FL, it's much more versatile, and lets you create more complex racks (even whole plugins) without having to use max for live. Though I don't end up using them in FL but I use racks so much in Ableton.

@@BetoStudioX I know, but it's a bit more simple compared to Patcher. With patcher I can completely remap the curve of each knob, slider or button. I can also have infinite loop chains or weird routing, something similar to analog synth racks and such. In ableton I need to use max for live add ons to achieve these effects. I'm just not sure why it's so much easier to use Ableton rack while processing sounds, where in FL it doesn't cross my mind.

ATTENTION FOR THOSE WHO USE ABLETON STANDARD VERSION AND NOT SUITE AND ARE WONDERING WHY THE STOCK PLUGINS VERSION DOES NOT WORK Oversampled said he used hybrid reverb in this version of the rack. Ableton standard does not have the hybrid reverb device, hence, the rack doesn't load up. What you have to do is go into the text file for the rack and remove the hybrid reverb from the list of devices. It's not easy to convey how to do this but I'll try my best to explain. 1) Like others have said, use a zip browser to open the rack file. 2) Open it as a text document. 3) THE NITTY GRITTY: Each device's code starts with a bracketed term where in this case, X is a number of where in the rack the device appears, and ends with a bracketed term . Sandwiched between that is all the device's properties. If you scroll down far enough, you should find the Hybrid Reverb device. In the standard version I believe Hybrid Reverb is AbletonDevicePreset Id"10", and in the expanded version it is AbletonDevicePreset Id"14". Highlight everything in between and including the start and end brackets and delete it. This effectively removes the Hybrid Reverb from the rack. 4) Close out of the text file and zip browser and it should work. 5) You can add the reverb back in if you want. Hope this was helpful for anyone.

First off, thank you for sharing this awesome rack for free Aiden! Second, for those who can't load the rack, (I know there's comment that explains, but to be more clear) here are clear instructions how to fix: 1. Update your DAW and Plugins, if not for some reason or still doesn't work, go to #2 2. Create an Empty Audio Effects Rack in your DAW and Save it somewhere. 3. Outside of your DAW, find the file from #2 and open it with an Unarchiver(or 7zip), it will tell you to save it somewhere, so save it. 4. Go to the saved file from #3 and open with Text Edit or Notepad. On the Second line, copy the Major and Minor version info (you'll need this info) 5. Now use the Unarchiver/7zip to open Aiden's The One rack. Again, like #3, it will tell you to save it somewhere, so do that. 6. Find the file from #5 and open with TextEdit/Notepad. You will replace the second line's Major and Minor Version info with the one you got from #4. Make sure to save. (So what's happened is you've changed "The One" rack to be compatible with your DAW version.) 7. Change the "new" rack's file extension to ".adg". (To add extension, just add ".adg" at the end of the file name.) Edit: You might be missing third party plugins such as Soothe 2, depending on your versions. Just add them back in the effects rack as needed, then save the whole thing back for convenience sake for future use.

i just wanna say, you can easily make your own to help develop your own sound/style. Typically if you're consistently using the same plugins for an effect because you just like the way it sounds, streamline your ability to accomplish what you are constantly doing anyways so you can focus more on the more artistic side of creating rather than the technical. obviously they go hand in hand, i argue that even the mixing and master is always stylistic, that is everyone likes different timbres or impacts of their sound and the way they want it to be heard. so just do you

A simple EQ will alter the phase response of a sound. Cut consider lowering the side level with a plugin with mid/side functionality. A simple and free one would be MSED from voxengo unless your daw already has such a feature built in. And remember. If it sounds good, it is good!

The new waves studiorack v14 lets you load vst3s now so this rack or at least one very similar is possible in DAWs that do not have stock rack functions. I made one for logic with 3rd party plugs and it sounds great! The main thing missing though is the ableton vocoder but you can sort of mimic the pitch sweep/softener effect if you have Disperser by kilohearts. Also there is a free soothe type plugin called Vastaus that, while not quite the same as Soothe2, will help with resonance supression.

Too bad Waves are basically the next worst thing from literal scammers lol. That “update plan” you have to pay an arm & a leg, on a reoccurring basis, just to get the most bare minimum, basic small updates that keep a software functional, which 90% of developers would provide for free as the basic support which is customary of any company selling premium plugins/paid software in general. And they don’t even use a flat fee for the reoccurring update charges… No, the “update plan” fees compound based on how many & which plugins you have, with some insane maximum of like $200 or $400 per month… So the customers who show the MOST dedication to their company, who patronize them the most, sticking with them to buy 5, 10, 20 of their plug-ins (which have an immediate price of maybe $20-30 each, but with deals for a free one for every couple you buy- so nothing really problematic about that end of things)… Those people get hit the hardest with these update fees, to the extent that it’s literally like a second health insurance premium, or the reoccurring cost of the Adobe Suite or something… That’s absurd for what it gets you, & for a lot of- for *most* people- would serious break the bank. I could be wrong on this (maybe their plugins are just so revolutionary that nothing else compares), but I have a really hard time imagining there aren’t equivalents you could get either free &/or open-source, or if not, certainly exponentially cheaper than that adds up being with update support.

@@SomethingImpromptu Yeah I'm not a fan of how the update plan works either. I work around it by only updating individual plugins if I find myself needing them. Then I just let it run out and wait for the next absolutely needed update. It looks like you are required to update all of them at once but you can uncheck stuff you don't use a lot. I just updated the CLA compressors because they added wet/dry and trim knobs. Other than that I like the update for Studiorack because it lets you use 3rd party vsts now which gives some nice functionality while still being free. They cap it at $250 if you own a lot of plugins but if you only want to update one its about $12 on average.

This is why your favorite artists have their own unique sound. Through the years they've made and build up a collection of their own effect racks that they use on their basses/drums/synths/vocals. So if you haven't made your first effect rack yet, try it! Whenever you don't feel inspired to make a track try to do a sound design session where you just mess around with a bass sound and add a ton of FX over it until you get something interesting that you like. And when you get something good, do a check if it works with other bass sounds as well and then save the FX rack. This way you'll slowly build up your own unique sound!

I do the same, but only use stock Live plugins because they sound better to me. Mostly saturator, eq8 and few reverbs. I even made a preamp rack that sound better than all plugins outhere lol

I been using your rack a lot and checking the different things it does to audio. One interesting thing i noticed is that if you use a utility plugin in Mid/Side mode and send 100S to the rack the rack ( i'm using recommended stock version ) won't output any sound. That's because of the "Stereo" Mode you have set on the vocoder, if you set to L/R mode on the vocoder it then works as "expected" i believe. Not sure if you noticed that but would be nice to hear from you / your tests with stereo signals going through this rack and what you think. I love what the vocoder is doing by the way! It adds a nice ummmph to the sound.

If you encounter the "Only audio effects can be placed in this kind of track" problem 1. You have to create an empty effect rack 2. Open it with a file archiver (i used 7zip) and open the file inside the archive 3. Copy the Minor and Major version from the second line and save it in a notepad 4. Open THE ONE effect rack with a file archiver 5. Paste the Minor and Major versions to the effect rack It should work 🥵🥵

Sorry if this has been answered or a dumb question lol, but when you’re using this rack for sound design are you mixing what you’re working on as you manipulate and adjust values, or are you soft clipping the master? Letting the extreme results work themselves out? Appreciate the insight, you’ve always been hella informative and bigups

So the rack has a limiter at the end now or a soft clipper, but it's nice to turn it off sometimes and put a soft clipper on the master so that all the loud spikes distort with each other. Different spikes from different sounds I mean and frequencies too. Highly depends on the case. Usually I do try to control the sounds while mixing so probably I'd limit them more and cut the spikes, unless it sounds good! If you hear an improvement in the sound when you do a certain action then that's a good idea to stick with it. There's no rules!

The issue is that FL is extremely limited compared to Ableton in how it handles plugins. After 1000+ hours in FL, I've given up and have switched. Ableton has its issues too (you can only select ONE folder for VST3 plugins??? Piano roll feels like 1997, etc) but I just can't take how bad FL is from a technical perspective anymore.

@@efeh61 Reaper is fine. After a week of using Ableton I remembered that I actually also hate it lol (tried it for a while in 2018). You're not wrong, they are both shit in specific annoying ways (FL can't freeze and has terrible warping, Ableton's playlist and piano roll are garbage to me). I have used Reaper and it would be my third choice. For now I'm warping and pitching in Ableton and doing the rest in FL.

Yeah that will work. What he set up is a template. Doesn't need to be copied to the T. It just gets you going in the right direction for that sound. Experiment and get your own thing going off of it.

Click the .adg file to open it in ableton. Then save the rack. after that select the midi track and add the FX rack like you normally would add a plug in 👍🏻

try to import it on a midi track and not an audio track and check if there is any vst tht is working as a synth because maybe texture works tht way? i dont know maybe just try to disable texture first because maybe its not loading the preset

I love this rack, but it doesn't work with .vst3 versions of the plugins, it only works with .vst2 versions. My laptop has Apple Silicon, and a couple of the .vst2 versions of the plugins don't run natively. Is it possible you can make a .vst3 version of this rack?

Made it successfully in studio one . Dosnt sound as good as yours but it's there . Must tweak it . Mainly thermal and the vocoder and reverb . Using tal vocoder as there isn't a native one in s1 . Valhalla rooms dosnt tickle me so I might swap it out for bx rooms or altiverb

Quick question: Do you only use it on bass sounds, pluck sounds etc.? What about pads, drones and drums, would you put it on those or would the rack make those sounds too heavy?

@@extahaldulg5975 Well, you just have to buy all plugins that he used and put them into patcher with same parameters that he used and save preset. But it takes time, because patcher is not as convenient as Ableton effect rack.

When i use multiple chains for different effect the volume will drastically increase. Any solutions?

Hi! I just downloaded your rack and when I try to load it into ableton is says the rack is corrupted and can't be imported. I'm using Ableton Live 11. Any suggestions? :(
