This is an absolutely brilliant show, I binged it in a single night and literally SCREAMED when i got to the end of episode 6 and realized there was only 2 left 😭😭

Took me for flippin ever to find a place to watch this, but now I am good and glad to go! For the longest time I had no idea what this show was about while it was upcoming, and when I finally looked it up I got one sentence in with "It's about George Villiers-" and I was like OH. Got it I'm in. I solidly remember that post of the ridiculous serious of promotions King James gave Villiers until he was the highest ranking subject outside of the royal family and ordered the third translation of the Bible from Hebrew to English to get the church off his back about it.

Not medieval. King james came after the long reign of early renaissance age Elizabeth

Whups, you're right, Medieval period ended around 1500 and King James was born firmly in the Elizabethan era (and died in the Jacobean). My brain always wants to include the 1600s in the medieval period, no idea why. Thanks for the correction (and inspiring a much needed google search).

@@Gaywatch King James Bible was named after this King James so his influence is still felt today in Christianity as well. Both Mary and George are buried in Westminster Abbey too.

UK got an earlier release date, April is the release date for the US. No idea why they did that but here we are
