To unlock the new weapons for all classes, including the Shortbow for Engineer, you need to finish the “Astral Ward Arsenal” achievement. And if you don’t have the “Secrets of the Obscure” expansion, use this build instead: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pbidjKdhxs3aiac.html

Wow, that was quick! But, if quick is enough, it's good. A question I have and I hope it helps other people too... I'm reluctant to start playing a dedicated support build because I'm reluctant for the healer to be the most inexperienced role in a group. So, rather than a question about this specific build, may I ask a general request for advice about how to start a healer and grow the healer into proficiency? Hopefully while not letting down your squadmates.

To optimize your performance, ensure you have the correct stats and maintain high boon uptime. Utilize the Arcdps boon table addon to track your boons effectively. Practice your rotation on the golem, utilizing a damaging field for practice purposes (opt for a lower-tier field if necessary until you're comfortable). Primarily rely on passive healing to sustain the group, which should suffice in most cases. When additional healing is required, promptly use your healing skill. Finally, get yourself in an IBS 3 strike group to apply what you've practiced and refine your skills further. :)

I understand the concern with playing healing builds, but honestly this is one of the best builds you can start with. It's very effective yet very easy to play. To start learning the Healing role effectively, I'd suggest starting with things like T1 - T2 Fractals - Open World Metas - 3 Easy IBS Strikes. Get comfortable and familiar with the build this way, then move to harder fights

Great video. I was wondering if using the med kit and the elixir gun with the shift, barrier and overclock signet would improve the support capability - of course with a complexity trade-off. Any thoughts?

Thank you :) I personally don't like Med Kit because it give you less sustain, especially in hard fights. But if you really want to use it, I'd only do that for emergencies when your party is taking heavy damage, then use pretty much all of the skills om Med Kit, then back to Shortbow. I'd not stay on Med Kit as you get much more value from the Shortbow skills. Elixir Gun is not a bad option, but with this build all the other skills are better. - Shift Signet is important to all the F1-2-3 skills to come off CD faster. - Barrier Signet is important for the Barrier and Alacrity. - Throw Mine is important for the Blast Finishers with Relic of Karakosa. I'd only use Elixir Gun instead of Throw Mine if you needed more cleanses. But if not, keep Throw Mine

OK, that makes sense, I will use it as is. It just seemed too easy for some reason. I tested in an extreme field and the sustain is nuts with that very simple rotation. Thanks again!

Rifle Mesmer is very interesting. I'm sure at some point I'll take a look at it and see if I can make a build guide for it, but I don't know when I'll be able to do that

How does this build perform in CM fractal, boneskinner healcheck? Dis you have the time to test it out in those situations? I kinda feel your build is better compared to the standard mace shield, exiler gun, mortar gun, med kit.

Yes thank you for those showcases. The build is amazing and relaxing. Only had issues (once) with CM99 where the entire party expect healers to cc sorrows, I could only do one in my rotation, got kicked right away :P CMs fractals lately have become this super competitive toxic environment, unclear why! I also will try soon your new boon chrono healers :-) Imo, you are providing the best guides.

@@GamingTutorialswithJohny If I may :) How do you maintain Regen and swiftness uptime with the build? I may have missed it during the video, I noticed it's kinda hard to have 100% regen uptime with the toolkit trait!!

You do not apply that much regeneration with this build unless you were in a fight that required a lot of cleanses. Although regeneration is a very good boon for passive heals, you will make up for it with all the Barrier and other heals you'll provide.

Why full minstrel instead of harrier?

Minstrel offers much more sustain and more heals. The amount of Boon Duration you'll have with this build is more than enough to have 100% uptime on all the boons I mentioned in the guide. And as a Healing build, you'll not do that much damage anyways, especially with a Shortbow, so the extra Power is not very beneficial. Harrier can be a better option than Minstrel only in 2 cases: - If you need to lower the Toughness for the tank - If you're doing Raids / CMs with a hardcore group that is going after records and such

Yes for a second set Mace + Shiield is a good option. But Shortbow is better and I'd use it all the time
