Problem would be getting the taper shaft to fit after cutting 3/4 of an inch. Depending on the hosel, might be an issue. Other option would be to move into the 7.0

Depending on the tape, 3-4 layers makes a standard into a midsize. Could for sure use a midsize plus 4 for similar results. We didn't do the dowels for this build, not sure if Tiger does/did the wedges ever.

I play the Golf Pride Align Plus Four Midsized. I was mistakenly shipped some Standard sized in my order. It was too painful, given the lack of current product to wait, so I had the few Standard built up with tape. Six wraps is close but still very slightly small - so my belief is that it is Seven extra wraps. I am very particular about grip size, and I can confidently say that Five was absolutely not enough and Six is still a hair small.

@@wallstreetoneil Grip size is very tricky. I did a video about this way back. The more you stretch out a grip with build up tape, the thinner the grip gets. Different grips stretch differently but the most important thing is to realize that you can't just add the shaft thickness + tape thickness + grip thickness.

So you would need to decide if you want the same weight or want to go up 10g. I usually like a little heavier wedge shaft but not everyone will. To do the tiger stepping trick, you would use the same 9/PW shaft from the wedge and tip it 3/8 inch as we did here.

Yeah, I don't know the lengths of Tiger's specific wedges, nor do I know the swing weights. Would be interested to see what kind of weighting is in more pros clubs.

These were built for someone so they are built to his specs. Not sure if Tiger uses the dowels in the wedges or not.

Your only two options are really to install at 12 o'clock so the spine sits in line with the toe heel plane, or install it in the 9 o'clock 3 o'clock plane that points at your target at address. From there you would need to decide if you prefer the stiffer feel (assuming the shaft has enough spine to even notice a change) in your initial down swing, in which case you would align in the 12 position, or if you prefer the stiffer feel at impact, and would install in the 9 3 position.
