Great show again Guys 👊😎👍💙, couldn't do the live 🙄 Back to Domino Ricky tool time. Had my first one of these work benches back in Feb 2017 (branded differently), two of them featured in some of your vids from our visit in April 2021. At the time I believe I paid about £50 each now about £70 inc VAT from an orange branded DIY store that not necessary do next day delivery, but you can do that there ye oldy thang by going to the store, picking up the item and pay for it on your exit of the store at a thang called a till (no basket required, but optional) which has a person standing at it (strange that!!). Thought I'd clarify what I said during this stream about Aussie switchboards and MCB/RCD/etc brands. No one will blink if they see different brand devices in a board. There's nothing considered wrong with buying a clipsal enclosure (for a sub) or a hager metering enclosure (main switchboard) and fillling it up with Voltex RCBOs. What is expected though is that if you also put a CHiNT device in there it must mount up on the bus bar correctly. No bending the bar tabs, so putting a DPN pitch device on straight bars isn't acceptable. Neither would be trying to fit a device that has the terminals offset 5mm from all the rest. In that case you'd either start a new section of bar, or run wires to the CHiNT and not mount it on the bus bar at all. It's not a case of Rafterty's.

It's actually incorrect at 1:39:00 to say that a neighbour already having solar PV would prevent a G98 post installation notification. The DNO would only be concerned where a single installer is planning to install more than one solar PV system within the same geographical location in less than a 28 day period. This information can be found in sections 5.1 and 5.2 of EREC G98, Issue 1, Amendment 7.

I've had that Keter workbench for a few years. The bench itself is great, but the clamps are poor quality. Both my clamps handles snapped and only the Keter clamps fit in the bench so that feature is no longer available to me

I would be interested to hear what the manufacturer (Sunsynk) has to say about installing a 5.3 kwh battery (not IP 65 rated) in the toilet (no special zones to be considered) , would it be covered by the warranty and insurance?

Roofing courses are available, Ive done a few myself. The truth of the matter is its a combination of efforts that is needed. Roofers should not be playing any part in the electrical system at all. The wiring installation, connection and termination is work of electricians. Any efforts to introduce skills cards for roofers to do any electrical work would be catastrophic. If that is currently happening it should be challenged and stopped. If trainers are encouraging short course options for roofers they should also be challenged and stopped. Lots of work to be done and personally we are loving the challenge in the thick of walking the walk. Perhaps with the advantage we have skills across varying construction trades earned the hard way.

You don't need to be an electrician to put factory fitted MC4 connectors together.

@@VinoVeritas_ that depends if they are from the same manufacturer. If so of course. If not, definitely so. The limited value and attention people pay towards the MC4 connectors is why we see so many fail or burn out. Not the work for roofers that is for sure.

@@electrician247 Optomisers? You obviously mean optimisers. I've been installing since 2015. Again, a roofer would only be connecting factory fitted MC4 connectors. If SolarEdge or Tigo optimisers are being used, the replacement of MC4 connectors wouldn't be carried out on the roof and certainly not by a roofer.

How safe is it, installing a lithium battery in a house never mind the toilet. If that installation was in South Africa it would have lit up like a nuclear bomb on social media. Do you have a fire door on the toilet :)
