Efren and earl in my opinion has the greatest rivalry on pool in the history of pool. They have great matches which are magical to see. And the farewell speech Earl gave to Efren on their last match is just beautiful to watch because throughout their journey, their rivalry, their differences, they will always respect and exalt one another as their greatest rival. Earl is the John McEnroe of billiards. Much of it is an act. After his tennis career, it became apparent that McEnroe was a cool dude. I think Earl is too. He's able to fool many people with his grumpy act. Like McEnroe, he has a temper but there's much more to him than that.
