I saw them up in Ames in the 70’s. Nana was sitting on the floor and appeared to be just jiggling his hands amongst a bunch of things strewn on the floor around him but the sounds that filled the small room were what I’d imagine the Amazon jungle must sound like. Seeing a panther crouched low behind him wouldn’t have surprised me

Egberto Gismonti e Naná Vasconcelos, nem dá para acreditar que dois gênios da MPB, reconhecidos internacionalmente, possam estar tocando juntos, fazendo magia, criando ilusões sonoras! Para quem acha que eles não são reconhecidos no Brasil, são sim!!!! Acontece que viajam demais, passam temporadas fora e tem-se a sensação de que ninguém os conhece. Continuo seguindo muitos brasileiros que estão fora e o sucesso que fazem. Fiquem tranquilos, nossos "gênios", assim são vistos no mundo inteiro!❣🙌
