Egg Carton Flower making a rose diy, how to

When I was a little girl, my mom and I use to go to a craft group that was local to our home. I learned this one there when I was just about 8 or 9 years old. : )
This is just another flower that is a very old technique I learn when i was a little girl - so it's not a new flower....But I love this one and it is very quick and easy and they look stunning when you paint them! I hope you enjoy this one.
Also It wont cost you anything to make : )

Wow--great tutorial and a trip down memory lane for me!! My grandma passed away 20+ yrs ago but I used to do craft stuff with her when I was little and I can remember making some flowers kind of like these with her. Thanks so much for sharing!! ♥

Thank you for your wonderful idea. We have a new orphanage in rural Oaxaca, Mexico. Our teacher will love this idea. We are doing a mother's Day activity in May and this is a cheap easy to make gift for the children to make. God bless you.

I have never seen this before, but I keep thinking that there must be a good, crafty use for egg cartons. I like the fibrous feel of the card and have recycled them by cutting into shapes and stamping and stitching onto them. I also tear bits to put on my composting heap. TFS this pretty and useful tutorial. I bet they look lovely when painted and added to a wreath. I might use this next year for some fund-raising. Greetings from England and Merry Christmas. Elaine x

I saw a tutorial by Hechtnooga. They turned out really neat! Cute roses and a great way for recycling egg cartons!TFS! My area only gets the Styrofoam cartons! But I'm still looking! Play Rosanne when you can. If not you'll get burned out and frustrated.Rome wasn't built in a day so take your time and get it like you want it Hugs Rosanne!

That was so cute and easy. I have four egg cartons and I'm making these roses. I can paint them any color I want and even attach them to floral wire and place in a vase. Wonderful idea! Thank you, Roxy (I'm a "Roxy", too!)

One of the many things I love about your videos is you let us see if you make an error & then you show us how to fix it. I watched & tried make these about 2 weeks ago watching someone else do them. I did not do well. The explanation was not detailed enough & I was frustrated with my results. Tonight I ran & got my empty cartoon & worked along with you & now have two delicious flowers so far! I will have to get some shots of the the bouquet I made with these simple roses & drift wood.. I "burned/smoked" Aleene's glue along some of them as well as on the drift wood.. rubbing a copper/bronze along the smoked parts... I know these roses are going to pop up in a lot of my work...*smile* keep doing vids~!.. you are an inspiration..see?
