I am a man of trans experience who has recently gone through a successful egg retrieval/ freezing procedure. In this video, I answer questions I got on Instagram and explain the process and my experience.

Thank you so much for posting this video and this journey. I’m almost 5 years on T and was looking into freezing my eggs as an option before my hysterectomy and was so worried about having to be put on estrogen

So good to see you again! I have watched all your videos and they were so informative as we watched our daughter become a transgender man. You are so awesome and really helped educate us and all is well. Thank you so much. Now more than ever we need the education to help others understand the importance of fmly love and support and acceptance for people to be who they are. It takes alot of courage to be who you are in a world that tells you to be someone else. Blessings to you and yours!

Hey Ryan happy to see your videos are back man! ✨ wanted to ask has the weight gain and body changing since being off T been like huge? or do you think it was more mental thing? i’m curious to do this process possibly in the future but worried it might make me spiral seeing my body change into a more “fem” shape. was it more bloating and water weight that you have experienced or is it actual body fat redistribution from being off T and on the medicines to help produce the eggs?

thank you for the video! i am also on t and considering going off temporarily for egg retrieval. in the few months you stopped, did your body fat distribution and muscle mass change? i know that voice and hair stay the same, but i'm concerned about losing some of my physical progress.

what kaiser plan do you have ? Is the one year free covered on all plans as well as the actual egg retrieval? I use to be on my parents as well but they moved out of state and i am just recently going to start getting coverage again after a year on my own.

Ryan I loved that video where you show how you take your t shots 4 years ago. Can you make another video on how are you taking your shots now? Can you give us some advice to make it easy and less painful.

Hey! I don’t take T injections anymore, I switched to T gel. I have a video going over how I apply that as well, and it’s painless! :)

When they check you to see if you’re still healthy to get your eggs retrieved, do you have to be already off T at that point or do you go off T after that ?

Just guessing but probably you’ll need to go off T to see if menstruation returns. If not I’d imagine that’s a no. Get a consultation though to check

hi ryan 👋 I was wondering if ud mind sharing what u personally plan to do with ur eggs eventually, do you plan to have a surrogate or ask your partner to carry or some other option? I assume you will not carry what with the hysterectomy . I understand if that is too personal have a good day

Thank you sharing this journey with us. It’s very important to see how it is like for us trans men. It looks like a very difficult journey, it think i’m now convinced i’m not doing it. 😂 kidding, it’s still really good to know what to expect to help me in my decisions in the future.

Hi im seriously not trolling! But how can i know for sure if im trans or not? Growing up i was 100% boy and only boys were my friends. Then puberty came along and my worst night... I grew breasts... And i became a woman. I saw this as how things are and i have to be what society wants me to be and i accepted it and went with it... I was never really a feminine person, only with my peers 1% of the time. Deep down i want to transition!! But scared, cuz u cant go back

I went through the same experience, & you see my profile picture now. Besides, you seemed to answer your own question by the end of your own comment! You know already & don’t need anyone else to confirm what you know. I would suggest you take it all one step at a time. Start slow with socially transitioning before taking other steps if you’re unsure. At the least, depending on where you live, I would get on waitlists for potential treatment, such as seeing an endocrinologist or a therapist. Over time, hopefully as insecurity about your decision subsides, you’ll know if going on hormones or taking any other medical steps to transition is right for you. I wish you the best of luck!
