Hey guys! Today we'll be making the eggless cooker rawa cake :)
Since I started baking, I've come across many people who don't have much baking material yet they have a passion for baking. This recipe is just for those people - simple, quick, and without needing extravagant ingredients.
At the same time, it is also very healthy as it is no butter, no maida, no eggs, and no refined sugar.
I have been thinking of posting this recipe for a while, for all those homebaker and homemakers out there, preparing this cake can be an occasion to get the family together ;)
You can can customize this recipe by adding dry fruits instead of milk chocolate callets, granulated sugar instead of coconut sugar, in equal quantities.
Ingredients :
Fine Rawa / Sooji / Semolina - 190g
Curd - 105g
Milk - 105g
Coconut sugar - 135g
Flavourless oil - 38g
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Baking powder - 3/4 tsp
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
Milk chocolate callets / Chocolate chips - 50g
Milk chocolate callets for garnish - 15g
Rest the batter for 15-20 mins or until it fluffs up.
Add salt to the cooker base for baking effect.
Preheat the cooker for 10-15 mins before baking.
Pour the batter in a 6" round greased tin. Cook the cake on a slow flame for approximately 55-60 minutes or until done.
*Yields one cake of approximately half kg.
Storage -
Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for upto 1 week.
