Hello.. tried the cake . Came out very well. All of my family members including my teenage son liked it who doesn’t like anything made up of ragi. He felt that it was chocolate cake. @@skinnyrecipes Thank u for the recipe... Is there a way to avoid wheat flour..can i use whole grain rice flour...dried and milled... Or bamboo rice... Or sprouted gram flour.. I would like to know the rolenof wheat flour...does it act like a bindr.. When i make steam cake ...with ragi flour , to avoid breaking up easily, i had tapioca flour about 1/3rd of ragi flour..to provide better binding of the steam cake ie ..puttu

Ms. Nisa i tried your cake and it's amazing. Better than the chocolate cakes I've been making with maida. I have been diagnosed with lean PCOD and have followed your healthy recipes since then. I avoided eating cakes but I'm so happy to find this recipe that satisfies my sweet tooth and keeps me healthy too. The recipe is perfect. I made it with eggs. The cake was so soft and tasty. This turned out really well with a fudgy chocolatey center! My family loved it. Although Millet flour has a really strong smell, while roasting it, I coughed a lot. In the cake itself, it has a strong taste so I added lots of cinnamon powder, which I think helped. Final product was lovely!!

Hey , Nisa I feel glad to come through this video of yours . Just bought a packet of Ragi few weeks back and had no idea what to do with that . And then I found your videos. I tried the Ragi ladoos and today I tried the Ragi cake and I am so so so happy that they turned out to be so tasty and healthy, guilt free desserts. I cannot Express how elated I felt after I successfully prepared the two. Tried ragi cake today mam.. It came out well except that I did add 2 more minutes thinking a little more need to be cooked.. So its crust became a little bit harder.. My mistake otherwise it would have been soft like how you showed.. 😔But happy and contended that I learned to bake a healthy version of cake.. My son is fond of chocolate cake but never he can imagine this is made of ragi and most importantly my mom who is having sugar also can eat this cake.. So thankful to you😘

I tried this today.....and im not kidding it came out soooo well....super tasty for a ragi cake. I just added choco chips on top before baking...and that added a yummy touch. Will put the pics on my insta and tag you. Cant wait to try all ur recipes.

I tried this which turns out really great I tried to make it like a pound cake since this cake is very dense it remained slightly uncooked . Still it's a thumbs up recipe my daughter said it tasted like fudge. I added little instant coffee powder to it took it to next level 👍👌👏.thanks for sharing ❤

Hello ma'am.I made raagi cake sticking to every details of your recipe and the cake was baked exactly like yours.Even the furrow on top was same.Thank you so much for a very healthy yummy recipe.Raagi is called Mandua flour in Uttarakhand.The leavening of the cake making it puffed was a surprise because v are using coarse flour.Leavening occurs best with maida(white flour) which has high gluten.Did the curd with its lactobacilli help?Do u get gluten in the market?Can u make bread like v get in market using this flour?

There are some brownie recipes where they use only eggs in the batter, no milk. This cake's texture and taste is exactly like those brownies, it is like store bought, doesn't seems that I made it at home. I am new at baking, but this one tasted as if coming straight from a bakery I did a variation though. I used maple syrup instead of coconut sugar. And I only used 1/2 cup of wheat flour. I used 1/2 cup maple syrup, but I think 1 cup of maple syrup would be better. Thank you Nisha ji for sharing this recipe

Dear Nishaji I don't have verging coconut oil. only butter will do or I can use refined oil thanks Rims1

Thank you so much. Made this today and it turned out great. We just added some bits of orange peel for a bit of zest. Is wheat required at all in this recipe. Can we use only ragi ?

Dear Nisa Mam Cake did rise very well. Only I couldn't add vanilla essance in cake as I didn't hear that u said at last to add Vanilla essance. But in this cake batter was sight more thick even adding 2 tbsp milk extra. No doubt cake did rise well. Only vanilla essance I didn't ad that doesn't matter as it was eggless cake isn't it? Only on sides crack was there. Thanks Rims1

Dear Nisa Mam When I pierced ragi cake after done and toothpick came out clean, then cake came to room temp then overturned to take out half side was dense and moist. Very few sides was spongy cut where was I at fault. Pls Reply me soon. Thanks Rims1

Thank you Nisa for the lovely recipes. We do not eat wheat, so can I use only Ragi flour and omit wheat flour OR suggest any other gluten free flour to substitute for the wheat flour in the recipe.

Hi Nisha I just baked this cake and its delicious however it's a bit crumbly, so wondering what did I do? I used coconut oil 1/2 cup instead of butter, and added 2 eggs instead of curd. Rest all same. Please advise for next time. Also I might add some more jaggery next time as it's barely sweet. But overall awesome cake :)) can't believe it uses all healthy ingredients!! So we can easily enjoy this guilt free cake:) Thanks!

Hey Nisa. Lovely recipe. Will try this. Just a question. You have said 100gms butter. But when you have shown it it doesn't look like 100gms. 100gms is the full Amul butter packet right. Just asking so that I don't go wrong in trying it

Dear Mam I knw having cracks is good sign. Ut after piercing the cake with toothpick when it came out clean, I knw it means it is done but when cake came to room temp,I overturned it 60 % was totally moist and wet. Thanks Rims1

Hello ...I tried this ragi cake for my son who is in 7th grade loved it but wanted chocolate ganache cover on top but I wanted that ganache also organic so what can I use instead of Amul cream or butter with coco powder...please guide me or make an vedio on it Thank you 😊 God bless u

@@faseehayaseen4287 1 cup roasted ragi flour 1 cup whole wheat flour 3 tbsp cocoa powder 1tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 100 gm softened butter 1 cup jaggery powder 2 eggs / 1/2 cup curd 1tsp vanilla essence And milk as required
