There's something off-putting about the fact that Tails Doll is in a Sonic horror series and not being the creepy, evil spirit haunting the game.

I imagine instead of Eggman just being textboxes, he appears on the top left the entire time like a Let's Player. Hes got a controller moving the robots and he's giving commentary like "No, don't do that Metal Sonic!!!"

Having a playable Eggman campaign where the action stages are the metal S-T-K counterparts is pretty genius, sounds like something that could have actually made it into the game.

The idea of Eggman being the victim is genius. Hopefully Metal Sonic and Metal Knuckles can keep him safe.

Maybe it's just me but I can see this turning out wholesome, like despite all this spooky stuff it just concludes with with a super Sonic boss fight that allows Tikal's spirit to rest or something idk

Theory Time: I think Tikal might be after the Master emerald shards. Notice how she makes Knuckles head off to Hill Top where he gets some before she chases him and how she waits to ambush Eggman until he has the shards from the Metal Knuckles level. This is further supported by the ending of this video focusing our attention to the master emerald. As for what she intends to accomplish? Tikal doesn't seem the selfish type so if we assume her to be in-character in these videos then the most sensible goal would be to try and resurrect her tribe. I can't imagine she's happy after finding out the Echidna went extinct so she decides some sacrifices must be made for the good for the survival of her race, she essentially becomes like her father (Obviously more sympathetic though).

the metal sonic stages being a hard mode goes crazy

Tikal wandering around in broad daylight and chasing after Eggman while the NPCs are all around just staring at them is neat. I imagine they didn’t care that much because it’s Eggman who got got. This is really well made too, I like the loading screens.

The player (or beta tester?) obviously knows something is up with Tikal. If you noticed, in the Metal Sonic level he took his time completing the level, but as soon as he knew Tikal was chasing him, he basically speedrunned Mecha Knuckles level, almost as if he knew where were the shards, maybe he even knew when the demo ended, so completed it as fast as he could so Tikal (or whatever it is that is taking her form) couldn't reach Eggman, and it's hard to say if he escaped, it was a really close finale.

Another super cool video. I really like how instead of playing as Eggman in the stages, you play as the Robot versions of Sonic and Knuckles, with Tails Doll following around. Also seeing Tails Doll and Metal Knuckles at all is cool, I always thought it was a shame they were never in the mainline games. Also Metal Sonic being playable in the demo version is kinda funny, since that would make him being a bonus in DX him being re-added in the game. The "Horror" in this video is also really well done. For most of the video, it's just subtle things like the slightly off-putting loading screens, and the deadpan stare Metal Sonic gives at 0:43 is kinda off putting (special mention goes to Tails Doll on the loading screens, who looks like he's staring at the player). The Ending is the best at being eerie, while not going over the top. Eggman peacefully walking away in silence, until Tikal runs up behind him, and then it cuts to the Demo Complete screen. The music almost seems like a jumpscare compared to the silence before. The Demo Screen popping in right as Tikal catches Eggman kinda gives me the vibe that it "saved' us from whatever the heck Tikal did to Eggman. Although first Tikal goes after Knuckles, than Eggman. I think Tails better sleep with one eye open.

The use of other SEGA songs works surprisingly well

Gotta say, I did _not_ expect my favorite NiGHTS into Dreams boss theme to be here, but I'm not complaining either.

I like how this is some "slow burn" horror, as something is clearly off with Tikal but it's only shown in small bits and pieces throughout these videos (her objective being unknown when sonic frees her, knuckles getting chased by tikal, now eggman getting chased by tikal), slowly building up for something bigger. Well i did that sonic adventure had cut content and we were actually supposed to be able to play as Eggman and Metal Sonic. Someone also said somewhere we was also supposed to get to play as Tikal

I remebr this, me and my sister used to play this when i was young, the story of it is that Eggman is tired of being bad, so he finds a superhero comic book collection and realizes that this is how he should do good, crazy chaos and absolute fuckery emerges.

Channels like this one should mod games like Sonic The Fighters, Sonic R, Sonic World (from Sonic Jam) and SRB2 instead -- if possible ofc. Much better retro vibes would be achieved with something in between SEGA Model 2 or Model 3 style graphics IMO
