So, in the case of humans we eat lactobacilli bacteria to condition our gut so that we can absorb more nutrients from the food we eat, now we learn that farmers in Taiwan give bacteria to their eggplants to achieve the same objective, resulting in less fertilizer input, increased yield at a lower cost. The challenge for Filipinos now is to find what are those bacteria.
