Diesel, you didn't mention this, but the Elm Creek map already has all those production buildings (oil mill, spinnery, etc.), so you don't have to use your own land to place them. When you find the existing buildings on your map, there will be a wrench icon that allows you to purchase the building without buying the land it's on. This is also true for the FS22 biogas plant. Before you buy the building, it is often available as a sell point. For example, you can sell silage at the biogas plant before you buy it, but you won't get digestate or energy income unless you buy the building. Similarly, you can sell wool at the Spinnery but you won't get fabric unless you buy the building. Obviously, if you buy the existing buildings you have to drive farther, but the game will transport things to the next building free of charge if you have a production chain set to "distribute" (i.e., grain mill will distribute flour to the bakery at no cost if you own both buildings). To summarize: on Elm Creek, you don't have to use your own land to build production buildings unless you want a second option (another sell point or additional production capacity) closer to your farm.

Storing, as soon as the facility has a full pallet it shows up in the designated zone. Selling, at the top of the hour any finished product is sold at highest market price - a Fee for delivery. This fee is like 40% so it isn't really worth it for this option. Distributing, if the thing that is being produced is something that moves up into another process, such as flour --> bread. If you own the bakery and you set the flour to distribute, the completed flour will be moved from your grain mill right to the bakery, at no cost to you.

I never use the sell option, as they charge you 40% surcharge to sell/deliver it. Distributing is when you automatically transport products to the next phase if you own the buildings

The Selling in case you hadn't found out yet, sell the crop automatically at a 40% loss from what I've seen and read. Store then allows you to deliver them to the place you chose.

So I believe if you have your factories on selling instead or storing you dont sell it for market value but actually less. So you sacrifice payout for convenience of not having to worry about storing the pallets and delivering them...

If you build 10 large greenhouses with a farm shop in the middle you can drag pallets to the shop, lettuce is like £600 a pallets. That's alot of green 😉

As far as I can figure it distributing sends the products to production places that you own. Not sure what happens if you select distribute on something where you don't any anywhere to process it, trying that out today on my test map :)

Not sure if someone has answered but if you have a production chain, distribution will send the product to the next point, for example, put wheat into a mill, leave flour on distribute, then if you have the next step (bakery) it will send it straight there.

Don’t know if you fixed your snowy map problem yet, but you need to go into your save file, in the environment file, and change the snow height to 0.00000. Had the same problem, and that fixed it up.

to fix the snow try to turn it off and back on see if that works also the selling will sell the product you make and storeing will make palites and dispiting will make it go to a produtction chain if u have one

you can delete a setting in an xml file to fix the snow thing. There is a turn off snow glitch where the map thinks the state during which you turned off snow is the default texture. On console, you have to turn on snow, wait for the first accumulation, which will reset the map to the green before it starts laying down snow. When it is green, turn snow off to make that the default map texture. Silly.

Find the Basketball at your home farm.

As it comes to production selling mean sells it on the hour, distributing means holding it for your productions. It also sounds like you have fixed visual month on in your settings. And you really need an auto load trailer.

So change your visual month and the snow will be fixed yes eggs are meant to be like that they were the same way in 19 also you can pick up eggs lettuce tomato and a few other pallets without the super strength mod

Sell to the market raw products or distribution to stores requiring ingredients or refined products.

So as far as I can see from my testing, if you set something to distribute and you don't own anywhere to process it (like planks if you don't own carpentry) or it's something that doesn't get processed (like lettuce) then it stores. If you own the next step in the chain you can distribute, if not then your choices are store, sell, or store but it's called distribute :)

If you just want to make as much money as fast as possible without cheating or mods, then Large Solar Collectors are the best money makers and also require no maintenance. Once you get 100 or so you'll never be poor. Takes about 1.5 hours to setup on a new game.

I had 10 chicken coops 330 chickens in each saved up 6 pallets each full of eggs bought the profi liner to hall them all to the sell point at once got the mod strong farmer to load the pallets by hand was on the 30th pallet of eggs ( took for ever to load ) and tossed up into the trailer it landed wonky so I hoped up into the trailer to straighten it out so I grabbed what I thought was the pallet and flung it I grabbed the trailer instead and flung all 30 pallets out of the trailer I cried a little inside then rage quit
