We really wanted to do justice to how much creativity is in these sets, so we took way longer than we'd planned 😅 Hope we did a thorough enough job to not let Mike Psiaki down. Also thanks so much for the pointer to Yellow Racers!! It was truly mindblowing - even after we'd built so many of Mike's sets already.

Never would i have imagined I'd see an explanation of the universe's first breath in a LEGO video; and I'll agree that the little touches on that spaceship are pretty amazing! The Titanic looks like an incredible build, and the small touches really highlight the depth of detail that is possible when you increase the scale exponentially. Having something so large made with auch small things, but still able to hold its shape? Its an engineering marvel! The 3-in-1 set evokes a lot of memories of those who play and build not from plans but from tubs and tubs of loose bricks; limiting brick style and color but increasing imagination exponentially. I can imagine the challenge as a designer to make a small but cool set; then taking it apart and reassembling it into another set entirely using the same bricks as before. Its a great way for LEGO to not only market the set but also show that the brand isn't just for display, its for play too! Overall, i think you two did an outstanding job highlighting not only the creative designer but the brand as a whole, as well as your enthusiasm at doing what you love! Keep up the great work!

Completely agree about how refreshing the creator 3-in-1 sets are - it's so nice to have something designed for rebuilding, and we love how some 3-in-1s cover such different models that you can imagine building anything. Thanks so much for watching!!

This video is an absolute masterclass of content creation, top notch stop-motion animation, commentary and visuals. I love the inclusion of science and history interspersed throughout. I loved the Galaxy Explorer set enough to buy three to make all the models. I even made a simple hanger display, complete with chasing 9v lamps 😁. I always loved learning about the Titanic as a kid, but didn't know much about the set. As amazing as the builds themselves are I was just as impressed with the in depth overview done in this video. I can't say enough how blown away I was with this video!

Thanks for sticking around!! Good question! With sets, we try to build and film separately, so we can enjoy the building process and find the most interesting parts to film ahead of time. When we're doing more-custom stuff, we usually film along the way (but sometimes forget to)

That's amazing I've learned by your video: the same designer initializes my lego two times as an adult! First the yellow helicopter 31023 was the set re-initiating my interest in building lego again. My special interest to create own design only by parts of a given set was set on fire by the excellent part choice of this set. Second the Galaxy Explorer 10497 was the set I started on to rebuild my recreations digitally and publish instructions (at rebrickable) for the first time*. *Fixing problems at Captain Future's Comet published by the German company Bluebrixx was only shown to this house - the updated, second instructions shows my solution exactly .. that's not a real publishing ;-) .

I firmly believe LEGO needs to move away from 'sets' and things that are just made for their function, and remove the aspect of play/customisation from their builds. Essentially LEGO now serves as plastic display models which replicate in a blocky and imperfect way the thing someone likes (like a Pacman arcade cabinet, car, Batcave etc). The 3in1 series LEGO makes which are both affordable and fun sets, allow for a perfect use of LEGO as a product, as most of these have additional variants as MOCs made by others, or the ability to recreate something yourself. How are you going to rebuild a Captain America shield into something fun? LEGO is missing a major product aspect of 'Booster packs' which they touch upon with their VIP polybag exclusives, however a pack of selected parts that allow for expansions or additions to bits boxes for future MOCs and custom builds would be great. Say for example you buy the NASA shuttle 3in1 set, and there was a $10 booster pack of additional similar or thematic parts, not even just being extra white and black curved panels, but studs, printed tiles, hinges, SNOT elements and basics, to which you could add rebuild into a more interesting ship, a bird, frog, car, transforming robot etc. Essentially just providing additional resources for MOC builders without outsourcing the parts buying to independent and 2nd hand sellers, and instead giving customers curated and interesting extra elements that can convert or upgrade existing sets. LEGO was founded up simplicity in playing, but I fear it's become a luxury brand for adults who want display items, and will pay $600 for a blocky version of a Star Wars ship.
