Real dancers live the dancers life. I sit alone at home, locked down outside of San Francisco. My former home, Just Dance Ballroom in Oakland. COVID restrictions closed all ballrooms last March. I sit, I listen, I watch, I cry. 9 months, no partner in my arms, no classes, no music, no dance companions. I spent 28 years social dancing, competing and teaching. Now I sit home alone. To have an Art you give your all too and then lose...... guess life is testing me. When I am allowed to return to the Ballroom, I will never forget my year without dance. You have wonderful students, thank you.

Thank you Ben for your comment. Wish you to go through these difficult times with hope. At moment we in Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻 are not allowed to do any lessons except online. Hope next year will be more positive and we will enjoy dancing! Merry Christmas and blessed New 2021 year!

Ben, so sorry to hear this. Our lockdown (New Zealand) only lasted 6 weeks because everyone did as they were told, and our Prime Minister did the right thing. Just a pity your Trump card wasn't a trump card. He should have listened to the experts and not thought he knew better.

I’m sure you will be dancing again, my parents grew up in Germany and did ballroom dancing in secondary school as part of the cariculum then the war came and everything was destroyed, people, schools, dance halls, music everything. My mother said those left made some space found some records and a player in the ruins and danced. Life goes on and so will yours and you’ll appreciate dance even more when it resumes.
